This just isn't working out is it?
seems fine to me. I love this place.

What do you love about it?
I love everything about it plus a few other things that I hope nobody ever discovers. I also love the food at BSFS. it's magically delicious.

Had to share this ...
Met an 80 year old man today, a retired pastor no less, who is donating his body to medicine upon his death.
The guy is all emaw, but he knows his body will be going to ku med.
So last New Year's Eve, he got a big Powercat tattoo on his ass that says "last laugh" as the caption.
True story

Kansas State Football / Re: Another One For Our Guy Daniel
« on: May 13, 2014, 01:01:53 PM »
42 is right in that our RB's better be ready to skettibrain it up.  Otherwise, we have a bunch of 3 and 0's to look forward to and a very tired D giving up points in the fourth quarter.

I don't think this is necessarily true.

I think we'll work a better intermediate passing game into the mix this year.  Snyder historically opens up the playbook for a senior QB and let's them take more risks.

Last year, Jake seemed to throw a lot of short stuff and long stuff.  I think we'll see a lot more diversity in the passing game where we throw more stuff in the 10-20 yard range.

I really hope so.  It will be difficult watching if we don't.

IMO, we needed Daniel this year in the same capacity he played toward the end of the season last year. Bring him in for special situations - just enough to give opposing D-coordinators a whole different package for which to prepare.
In other words, he never should have switched positions. If he had stayed at QB, he never would have transferred, probably would have been the starter his senior year and K-State would be better off both years - not to mention better for Daniel.
Having a QB who poses very little threat to run (Waters) and a shaky running back situation will cost this team wins.
We NEEDED Sams, albeit as a second-stringer.
And if Waters goes down, well, I don't even want to think about it. It's something similar to Schwinn.

It's disappointing to lose Sams. I was hoping the switch to receiver would be enough for him to be satisfied here, but I think he saw that he might not crack the top 3 with just a spring and summer at the spot.

This is a hit to the depth and athleticism of this team. Also limits possible offensive packages and options should Waters get hurt. If Waters stays healthy and improves like I expect, I don't think next year will be a big problem. However, it would have been really nice to have Sams one more season at quarterback with Delton learning as a redshirt. Hopefully Etrz is good enough that this won't be a big problem.
So who is going to be our "Wildcat" QB next year?  :dunno:

Just found out Brandon Harold is also playing for that same team that meshak and the snipes play for. I think it's the team and Salina or maybe some other team

We're into master threads here. :gocho:
Yeah. I saw a thread about student loans and stuff, so I just posted away like some sort of crazy person.
Thought I was actually going to start one of those master threads.

I feel your pain. Someday...we'll get there someday.  :crossfingers:
Yeah I'm going to use a lot of restraint next time I feel like posting. Not worth the risk. Extremely fun to read this board, though.

Thx.  because LUKEmaw.
I have no idea what you are talking about, but my butthurt feels like it's happening.
I guess nobody cares about my OP. This board is really tough to figure out.
Go to the http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=31026.msg1031367#msg1031367 and post there.  If you bother to read the last few pages you'll see this article.
Yep. Didn't read the thread. Thanks.

A quote from the story about the NCAA conference going on right now,
Thoughts? (With the Animal being on the executive board, at least we're eating at the table)
 — "an ncaa
proposal would give the five biggest
conferences a chance to make their own
rules, a nod to the revenue their football
and basketball programs produce and
their need to help players close the gap
between the worth of a scholarship and
the price of attending college.
Those conferences, the aCC, Big Ten,
Big 12, pac-12 and SEC, all have major
football programs and reaped huge
payouts as part of the BCS, which is
being replaced by a four-team playoff
system starting next season."i

I'm not going to bad talk you any longer.
When you've got valparaiso blood in you, there are no limits to your coaching prowess.
The Homer gene is strong with this one.

Drop the sexual innuendo. This is a family environment.
That's it. I quit.
Wait. Let me sleep on it.

Sleep on what?
I slept on a train from Newton to KC last night. Up on the observation deck.

One time I slept below the o-deck in the snack car on the floor. Really mean dude yelled at me after 45 mins, made me get up.
That same guy woke me up last night but didn't seem mean. Just wiped a tear away and continued thumbing through some sort of old notebook or diary of some sort.
I fell back asleep.

The "screwed by the refs" meltdown is going to go nuclear for them.
The main rason I hate refs is because they pull up their pants so high it's camel toe city.
Well, also because they have destroyed the game with their mannerisms, but those britches - oh my.

3rd round tho

I loves loves Brad Undewrwood but I think I rode his head for 18 holes today at my local course. Can't be sure.
On the plus side, it was a smooth ride and I basically played bogey golf.

Wichita State is the best team in the state this year and it's really not even close.

They have the better of the two Wiggins bros, Baker is a better shooter than anybody on our or ku's roster, Early is probably the best player to step foot in Kansas since Beasley and VanVleet is a very solid point guard...

Even though it'll be a rough year for the boys in purple, I'm glad to see baby bro having some success even if it rips the hearts out of lil bro to play second fiddle to an MVC team.

One of the best parts of "TSC" is the leeway that the "S" creates in matters like this.
The only thing that would make wushock better is if those guys were coached by Scott Homer Drew. Because basketball science.

Why do we wait until the ends of games when we're behind to let him shoot whenever he wants? He's really good at them and should shoot more of them.
It's like in war when you try to win with millions of ground troops for like months and years then just say screw it and start launching nuclear warheads.
