Kansas State Football / WV bowling?

at 3-4, we need to win 3 of our last four games. I don't see us winning at TCU or at home against Texas. We we need to win against KU, Iowa State, and this week against K-State. I think we pull the upset in Manhattan this Saturday. K-State can't pass or run, so we are feeling pretty good about this game.

This thread seems as good a place as any to ask about something that's always been perplexing to me, I suppose... 

With all the efforts by so many to push "political correctness" (and gawd knows this place loves it some PC!), is the western virgina mascot, "mountaineer", just a more PC way of saying "hillbilly"?

I'll hang up and listen off air.

 

Thought you Kansas boys had better grammar than this...maybe they do at The University of Kansas...anyway it's Mountaineer with an emphasis on eeeeer. I would venture to guess that Kansas has more "hillbillies" than West Virginia since you are basically a suburb of Missouri.

Does Manhattan have an airoport? We are flying in Friday night and are thinking we will need to go to KC?

Direct flights into Manhattan from Chicago and Dallas.  Pittsburgh to KC is probably the way you wan to go, however.  Rent a car at the airport and drive 2 low-traffic hours to Manhattan down I-70.  Though, if you don't like driving, just connect through DFW.

After doing a little checking with the airlines, probably the right choice. Will enjoy the drive from KC. Do the Flint Hill inhabitants still live in soddies?
