Kansas State Football / Recruits
« on: January 03, 2011, 01:36:20 PM »
After our run at JUCO players came up flat, with the likes of Pena choosing to go anywhere but Manhattan, does anyone have any word on who KSU is going after. I know we've got a bunch of interest out of Wichita kid and a Blue Springs kid. Didn't know what the status on that was

Kansas State Football / Recruiting
« on: December 27, 2010, 11:21:25 AM »
As Chase Harper has now committed to Miami, what recruits are we looking at to complete our 2011 recruiting class? I'd like to think add some defensive players....Preferably high school guys who will be with the program for awhile.

Working towards a playoff is a whole  hell of a lot better than sitting with our thumbs up our butts, saying it won't happen. the playoffs are going to happen, eventually. Let's, as a fan base, be proactive in bringing college football out of the dark ages, and bring it into the current times. Let's not sit on one thumb, suck on the other, and simply say it won't happen.

The Gary Patterson ship has sailed.....sadly, it will be a Snyder foot soldier.  :doom:

Fans who act like tools should be removed, not just from the game, but from a fan base.... Simple as that. You throw verbal shots at a ref up close, and while I don't know exactly what was said.......go to Lawrence

you think the people at auburn think it's worth it? They are packing their stadium every weekend, on television every game......NCAA will never issue death penalty again, because of what happened at SMU. They have had the opportunity to do it numerous times, and haven't done it. They are not going down that road again. Heck, kids should get cash anyways. Lets be the leaders!

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: this team is awful
« on: December 14, 2010, 11:12:22 AM »
This team has to find or figure out a way to get the ball from the outside to the rim without throwing the ball up. Our problem comes from the fact there isn't a sole player on this team capable of taking a guy of the dribble. Motivation is fine, and is lacking to be sure. But when you have no one to take the ball to the rim, you are going to find it rather difficult to be succesful. We are easy to defend. Get in Pullen's face, and we will have problems scoring points.

Not hitting the panic button.....yet

Kansas State Football / Urban Meyer out as HC at Florida
« on: December 08, 2010, 01:18:55 PM »
Only rumors, nothing confirmed......but it's being reported that Urban Meyer is out as coach at the University of Florida.

Losing Kennard isn't the biggest loss, I mean, we don't throw the ball anyways. No, our problem comes from our offensive scheme. High schools and even junior highs don't just run the ball like they did 10, 20 years ago. The whole football world has become much more 'pro' offense scheme, or spread. If we want to continue to run the offense we are in, we'll have to expect ELITE LEVEL running backs, because no reciever worth a major D1 scholarship will come here. No, this offense, other than in certain game situations, is no longer a threat to win big games.

Kansas State Football / Re: Would you take the following scenario?
« on: June 04, 2010, 12:26:32 PM »
No....but I would expect the possibility of moving to the Mountain West is a possibilty. I can't forsee a conference that has made it's living as a little guy that could would just break down and join a conference of other schools.

Kansas State Football / Re: QB Transfer?
« on: April 28, 2010, 11:56:00 AM »
If he does transfer, Logan Gray will in all likelyhood not go D1.....he redshirted his first year at Georgia, and was active for two seasons. If he transfers D1, he would lose a season, and I just don't see him doing that. 1AA is in all likelyhood where he's headed.

If the BigTen expands by more than 1 team....bet your bottom dollar Missouri is involved. Missouri offers both the St. Louis and the Kansas City televison markets, makes sense for geography of the conference. BigTen realizes some schools, while near major cities, are not going to get the involvement.

Also, for Pitt's agreement with the Big East is murderous compared to others. Pitt will only come if the BigTen goes to 16, IMO.

Thats my thoughts.

Anyone have a list of the prospects that will be in the Doom on Saturday for the Tigers game? This 2012 recruiting class will be huge in terms of keeping our momentum as a program going.  :ksu: :pbj: :kstatriot:   :users: :flush: :katpak: :bwpopcorn:  :kugoalposts:

My water cooler tells me that the quarterback is not an SEC quarterback, but is possibly an ACC or Big East quarterback. I would have to guess it's not going to be a big name, and one would have to think, it's not going to be a starter.

I don't know anything for fact, this is just a rumor the winds are whispering in my ear as the travel across the plains of Kansas.

i just thought I would pass along the information

Peace be the Journey
