If Vigilant is a PhD, then: no.  Okay, I guess one could get undergraduate degrees from there.

I'm really going to have to re-think things here.   It appears that Cal and Kentucky can put together better overall packages for recruits than ku/Self/Compton and company.

I may have to re-focus my cheating longings more towards Kentucky and their model over ku and their model . . . as the one K-State should adopt.

I am really disturbed everytime I hear about Weber not "going there".   I really want to believe that Weber takes the "Knight Model" where the "care takers" seemingly have no direct connection to the basketball office.   But alas I fear tis nothing but a Windmill.

Eric Gordon didn't go to Illinois because Weber was unwilling to pay. It's all about the $$$

I was talking about what model to use, not the merits of cheating/not cheating.

It wasn't obvious to me.  Perhaps I could learn something from you guys.  How much does it cost $$$ to get a 4 star recruit these days?  I'll ask somewhere else about 5 star players.  If you can give examples of specific players and their standard payroll, this would really help out the new guys.  Thanks.

Funny story on this and a little history:  Blount's Ducks had lost to BSU the season before at Autzen.  He was quoted in SI over the summer saying that the Ducks owed the Broncos an ass whoppin .  Then they came to BSU and got completely dominated by the BSU D.  Blount was held to negative yards rushing for the game putting his college carreer total back below 1000 yards and cost his team a safety.  Hout makes the comment regarding the ass whooping and we have the lovely video of the result.  Blount then went on to swing on his teammates and coaches and BSU fans in the stands.  He then gets kicked off of the Ducks team and loses out on most of his senior season.  Sadly they let him back with a game left and he got back above 1000 yards for his career.  What a hilarious waste of talent on a lovely human being.     Cherry on top:  He was replaced on the Bucs by a BSU running back.

Vigilant, why did I get booted from the Boise board?  They thought I was Des or some character?  Not cool brah.

Didn't realize you were booted. I'm not a mod.  I thought I had made it clear on my home board where you came from with my post someone was kind enough to quote over here in another thread.  Des was an "unappreciated" Vandal troll whom took things to a very personal level in attempts to "hurt" some BSU fans over the internet (creating some bad fake websites attributing credit for the website content to some very specific people).  I'm sure you are not a sociopath and do not belong in the same circle.

Psh, they didn't even send a mod over here. So small timey

I'd guess they sent the expendable guy because mods lose their magic powers when they travel outside of their homelands.

I don't get why people have us losing to a 13 seed. We have avoided every upset all year and haven't lost to a team we were supposed to beat.

Perhaps because most folks don't feel this is a team you are supposed to beat?

I'm kind of disappointed no one wants to talk about how Boise State's arena is kind of "taco bell-y."

Sadly we cannot purchase any Taco Bell-y stuff in the arena.  No, the court is not blue.

I've heard around 2,000 birds (roughly, of course some years are worse) are killed each year due to the field, so divide that by the number of Boise fans (this number I'm not sure of) and you've got part of that bird's death on your conscience.

 I know if KSU had been murdering birds for years the ethical people on this board would have put a stop to it a long time ago, right?

Thank goodness those seem to be in short supply?

Only if your first game is against LaSalle.  There you are heavy favorites.  Against BSU you are the Vegas upset special.

i quoted your post because i think it's important that we note the word "upset" that you used in it.

So true.  The lower seeded team is not supposed to be favored to win, this when they do, it is called an upset.  The other meaning will be how you feel when you don't make it past your first game and are left crying with an 0-1 tournament record for 2013.

These are the same people that got all butthurt when they left their in-state rival Idaho for another conference.  They don't ever want to play Idaho again because allegedly Idaho fans are too mean.  So they take their ball and go home.  Basically just incredibly insecure, inferiority complex type stuff, so they don't even want to talk to outsiders.

Idaho ceased being a quality football rivalry a few years ago.  Vandal fans hate that.  We still play them in Basketball and the last two seasons have been "neutral" sites.  Troubles with the Vandals and football:  They play in a large airplane hanger in which they seat 12,000 on average (only by faking attendance numbers to get that high).  They aren't competitive for FBS football.  They are in the middle of nowhere in a small town with no easy access for travel.  They have no recruiting value.  Their fans are well known for drunken behavior and intoxicated student deaths.  We have a history of them living up to their Mascot whenever we visit and vandalizing cars from the southern counties, although my last trip up there was less eventful.  Other than the fact that they have a yearly on campus festival dedicated to BSU (Hate Boise State Week) they are really in our rear view mirror and have already made arrangements to move back down to the FCS level.

Love the help, guys. Probably going to be a millionaire when I come back.

Not from betting on the KSU game.  Vegas was picking that as the upset special as the most likely one of the first round.  Now word is out.  This will lower the payouts.
