I'm not going to lose any sleep over tearing down some chintzy monuments put up to memorialize traitors.  Most of these were put up during Jim Crow days to keep people intimidated - ya know, when the South was busy stripping rights away from citizens.

Besides I live in Kansas - I thought this state hated confederates.  Tear 'em all down as far as I'm concerned.

you guys realize that just because they carry a K-State basketball game on some random Wednesday night in January that it doesn't mean you have to listen to their morning drive time guy right? like, you ARE capable of changing your radio station, aren't you?

This thread is really just more about bitching and moaning about the landscape of KC sports talk radio...which we all know really just exists to push mortgage refinancin' (FU Wiebe) and Gary Joslin's weddan' rangs.

I just want terrestrial radio EMAW types in KC to have a good signal and a station that carries the entire broadcast.   Anybody who tunes into 610 or 810 to listen to them slog through the Bataan Death March known as the MLB season or to listen to Stan Weber's hot takes scripted straight out of the SID's office is nuts.

Yeah, but you're forgetting about B12/SEC Media Days and also when they point the mics right into a conference call?  That's gold right there.

I was wondering if this is going to affect KK's weekly Stan Weber segment.  That's something I like to tune in to.  I mean, when he devotes 10 minutes to talking about his football "game" that he made at home using paper and dice...that's exhilarating.

He wants to be closer to family?  Isn't that something politicians say when they resign after getting caught with hookers?

Any idea where is going to play basketball next year?  College of Charleston?

Kentucky to Minnesota to Texas Tech. Everything about that is just fantastic.

Didn't he win a NC at Kentucky? What a sad spiral his career is in.

With Pitino's players.  In 1998.

I waffle between being disappointed and just feeling bad for the dude.  I mean have you ever watched this ?  Or this ?  It's like he's trapped in the wrong line of work.

I grew up with the Sabres.  I learned how to skate at Sabreland hockey camp when I was five....because when you are a kid in Buffalo that is all there is to do in winter.  Back then (early 80s), hockey players were really cool  with fans so they would teach kids skating and basic hockey technique at Sabreland.  I went to so many Sabres games at the Memorial Auditorium until 1996 and then have gone to a bunch at the new arena as well.  I moved out of Buffalo after college...but I still follow the team.  I just hate the NHL leadership...I think they are a bunch of buffoons.
We must have a pretty badass NHL thread if you decided to have your first post here.

Also: Blackhawks are 5-0  :surprised:

Eh.  Been lurkin' a while...not really much for me to say.  I am not a KSU alum but I moved to KC for a job transfer seven years ago and adopted them as my local CBB and CFB team.  I liked Frank, not crazy about oscar...I agree with most posters on here.  But when it comes to NHL I have a lot of history with the league and sport.
