If a team tied for 1st in the big xii sucks, then yeah we suck but by that logic KU sucks too.  Lets enjoy the times and the fact that if we get on a roll and become the  :chainsaw:we ran into last night we can be the best team that sucks in the conference!  If we let this game get into our heads than  :ohno:

I think there is still this kid http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/150658/jamar-criswell  (RB)

and a few others limping around out there... slim pickings and unlikely but you never know....

This one too!
It appears that three-star defensive lineman Bobby Leath (Lake Wales, Fla./Lake Wales) has made a decision regarding which college he will attend.

Leath is expected to sign with Kansas State on or after national signing day.

The 6-foot-2, 290-pound senior chose the Wildcats over Iowa State, according to head coach Rod Shafer.

“I talked with Bobby and he made his intentions clear that he wants to go to Kansas State,” Shafer said. “They laid out a nice plan for Bobby that should work.”

Leath still has some academic work to take care of, according to Shafer.

“He has to get his test score in order mainly,” Shafer added. “But there’s a plan to get him to Kansas State eventually.”

Shafer said one of the things that attracted Leath to Kansas State was how close his brother, Melvin Pearsall, is to the campus. Pearsall was a tight end for FSU in the mid-90s.

Hopefully he qualifies...

Am I overthinking it or is Snyder even more of a genius than originally thought?  The grey shirt process of bringing players in really seems to be working Randall Evans, Marcus Watts (before Prince screwed him up), the list goes on and on of kids that have the mental part of the game but need help getting bigger, faster, stronger because of no money in the high school programs they are in.  I think it is one of the ultimate schemes he pulls off, why waste time on a 5 star kid that may be a bust when you can get a 2 or 3 star kid and mold him into what you want him to be before he see's the field.

Just a thought could be way off because on paper this class really blows!

Wait till the Spring Game and Air Waters conducts missile drills.

For the backup team.

He'll be on the starting team.  Scheme master Snyders not going to show anything.  Sams may even be on the 3rd team, random injury, caused a hurricane and was unable to attend the spring game.  Which ever starts the spring game will not be starting at the end of the year.

If he's successful think about the recruiting bed this would create with the JUCOs in KS, if he takes over...  No more JUCOs bailing out of state...  Not a great way to build a team but when we've been great we've always landed the top jucos from the state...

Kansas State Football / Re: 2013 QB Competition: Sams vs. Waters
« on: January 16, 2013, 07:32:10 PM »
I'm new to the board so may have missed if it's on an older thread...  Has anyone looked at who Waters was throwing the ball to?  The WR that went to Maryland was the top juco and highschool prospect when he came out.  Over half of Waters yards went to him, 25 of his 39 TD passes went to him, many on short passes that got broke open.

That being said we don't have the WR's to get this done with someone that is accurate but needs the WRs to make big plays, our guys can make big plays but need space to do so, thinking Lockett deep, or the Tramaine catch vs. ISU a few years ago...

Sams is going to do great things!  Not going to be surprised at 2000 passing 1000 rushing next year!
