Also, Belvis, I couldn't care less what other schools do.  Beas is it.  If you like our bb program, or have liked it in the last 5 yrs, its because of Beas.

Beas is it.  agree.  but, we all care what other schools do.  gives us context.  That's how we know when something is truly kStateo - we look at how other schools and fanbases perceive us.  It's human nature.

Hanging Beas jersey just highlights how rough ridin' awful our basketball program was.  Wouldn't it kind of be like hanging a Royals banner for going 86-76?

I dunno.  I guess I'd like to see a beasley jersey.  but, the dude was on campus for like 9 months and will never be back.  can see both sides.

Texas retired Kevin Durant's Jersey like a year or 2 after he left. Was a bit of a hot button issue when it happened if i remember correctly.

DJDT: Can I also say, that this whole thing going around about Tramaine Thompson having mono is the biggest piece of baloney, you could make 2 foot-long sandwiches on how big that piece of baloney is.  There's no way that guy had mono.

That's a lot of baloney

Predicting the 2013 season: Week 7
July, 11, 2013
JUL 11

PM ET
By David Ubben | ESPN.com
Last season we began this exercise. Here's how we did last season. Not terrible, but certainly some room for improvement.

We'll move forward again this offseason by making preseason picks for every single game on the Big 12 schedule. By the end of it, you'll see our full projections for each team in the Big 12 in 2013.

More Big 12 predictions for 2013.

Baylor 38, Kansas State 35: K-State would love some revenge in Manhattan, but Aaron Jones hits a game-winning kick to keep the Bears undefeated. K-State uses the quarterback run game well and produces the worst performance by Baylor's defense this season, but Bryce Petty picks up the slack with a 350-yard day through the air.

Current Big 12 standings:

1. Texas -- 6-0 (3-0)
2. TCU -- 5-0 (2-0)
2. Oklahoma State -- 5-0 (2-0)
2. Baylor -- 5-0 (2-0)
5. Texas Tech -- 5-1 (2-1)
6. Oklahoma -- 3-3 (1-2)
7. Iowa State -- 2-3 (0-2)
7. Kansas -- 2-3 (0-2)
9. West Virginia -- 3-2 (0-2)
10. Kansas State -- 3-3 (0-3)

now he's starting to piss me off

I'll go ahead and post the who report from ESPN for you guys... There is no telling when this was written though. The site says it was updated today, but that's only because they posted a new article for him. They have him rated as a 3-star 70.

Strengths:

Lancona has a high-major frame with great length and extremely long
arms. The lanky left-hander is a fluid athlete who runs well in
transition. The most impressive aspect of his game is his shooting
ability. He has a prolific stroke out to 22-feet and his release is
ultra-smooth. He is a gifted passer off the dribble and generally
displays a good feel for the game.

Weaknesses:

Despite all his impressive physical attributes and blossoming skills,
Lancona is not engaged enough throughout the game as he should be. He
needs to be much more assertive at both ends especially in the paint
area. Far too much during the game, he hovers around the perimeter and
doesn't pound the glass - making one wonder how much physical contact is
he willing to avoid.

Bottom Line:

Lancona has many gifts and an elite frame, but he needs to be much more
productive at both ends of the floor if he wants to play at the highest
level.

Guys, didn't Will play in the motion offense last year?  Weird that it didn't hide his inability last yr.

Huh.

Yeah, that's a dumb point. All you have to do is look at the UMKC and South Dakota games when Angel and Tay didn't play because of injuries to get a picture of how next year might look. But we still had Rodney to play.

The new guards better be able to play well right away. Stan's 22-13 seems pretty bold.

we were 22-12 (9-7) in the 08-09 season. I think (with the b12 being so down next year) we should have a comparable record to that season, so i'll buy 22-13... livin life on the bubble all year.

'08 had Jake, Denis, Curt, Jamar, and Dom.

'13 Sprads, Shane, Gip, Whothefuckcares, whothefuckcares
