we're closer to an MNC than TCU has ever been...and we aren't even conference champ.

Little brother is in for a long day Saturday. Klein will be out to prove something at TCU's expense.

Not saying it means much to most people nowadays.  But TCU does have an AP national championship in 1938.  More than KState can claim in the entirety of their history.  So you can not really say "closer to a MNC than TCU has ever been"

Well at least you're not Texas where it's uncool to yell.

You are right; we are not Texas.

However, yelling is not very cool to most of out fans.

Froggy, how big is the TCU student section?  I

The entire student body is 9K.  Every student gets season tickets as part of tuition, so in theory it should be around 9K.  However, the school anticipates some people not going, so i would say it is about 6K-7K.

Yeah, TCU is in the middle of a stretch of games against OSU, WVU, KSU, UT, and OU.  TCU fans used to be excited to play one team of that caliber in a season and now we are playing 5 in a row.  TCU fans are excited to be bowl eligible at this point, so anything else this season is gravy.  Knocking off a KSU, UT, or OU in our opening season of the Big XII would be huge for the perception of our program.  Most fans expected the OU game to be the best home game of the season.  Now that it is KSU, the fans are psyched for this game.

Are you guys going to like yell "AHHHHHHOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!  :excited:" on third down?  :ohno:

Unfortunately, my answer to that question is... possibly.  We have an old and notoriously quite crowd, so do not be too surprised when it is not very loud despite it being a big game.

I was more saying that in terms ticket prices staying a little higher than normal.

TCU fan here.

What do you think the chances are of buying tickets for $60ish on game day for anything that isn't GA or SRO?  Thanks.

I would say around 25-50%. It really all depends how many fans KState brings.

I doubt you will get any seats in the bottom deck (except possibly in the north endzone) as one side is pretty much all students, the other side is all donor seats, and the other endzone is GA.  There are usually quite a few of the upper deck seats being sold.  The best place to usually find "scalpers" is along Cantey between Univesity and Stadium and along Stadium between Canty and Berry.  Those seem to be the places with the most "scalpers" as opposed to fans just looking to unload tickets.

You have to remember that this is the highest ranked team coming to play in Fort Worth since 1970.  TCU fans are really excited because this is the biggest home game in decades (per the rankings) and KState fans are excited because KSU is on the way to an undefeated season.  I would normally say you could find tickets at this range, but I would say odds are against finding any at that price.

What do I know though.  Let me know if you have any questions.

TCU fan here. There has been some pretty good advice here on the parking situation, but thought I would give you a few more options.

There is a Paschall High School at the corner of Berry st. and Forest Park that is about a mile away from the stadium.  I think parking is like 5 or 10 dollars.  They provide a shuttle that lets off directly in front of the stadium and another shuttle that will take you back after the game.

The baseball lot at the corner of Bellaire Dr. W and Bellaire Dr. N is $10 and fills up pretty quickly.  I usually tailgate in this lot, and there has been a lot of visiting fans in this area tailgating and mixing it up with TCU fans this year.  Not that far of a walk to the stadium from here (.25-.5 mile walk).

The University Christian Church at the corner of Canty and University usually has spots for about $20.  This is on the edge of campus and a close walk to the stadium.

If you are a cheapskate like me, you can park in pretty much any of the neighborhood streets around campus.  If the weather is not that bad I will park on the East side of campus just passed the business school on Sandage or Merida and walk through the entirety of campus.  If you want to save money, and do not mind a .5-1 mile walk, this is not a bad choice at all.

There is a "young" alumni parking lot (lot 4) for tailgating which is where the big tailgate parties for college age through early 30s.

Anyway, hope you guys have a great trip.
