Please tell me there's a 2nd statue standing behind with his equipment.

the neek??? first off thats not him secondly the pedastal isnt big enough for both

It would be better if the Snyder statue were on the pedestal and the Neek statue was just standing there on the ground behind the pedestal, anyway.

It would be even cooler if instead of an assistant statue, we just made a real life assistant stand behind the statue on gamedays EVERYDAY 24/7 for eternity.

Think Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington.  It would be an honor for EMAWs to serve.

get it done, currie

Worth firing oscar and making Marshall a once in a lifetime offer.  Even if he turns us down... oscar problem solved.  Win/Win.

a white six foot five inch small forward from indiana with no other offers. yep, that sounds about right.

And 190 lbs, just wait until Greenwalt does his magic... oh wait.   :bang:

What makes me mad (and maybe others I don't know) is that I lived through and saw k-state abandon basketball.  It took it for granted that anyone could take up the reigns and win, and then eventually it didn't even try anymore when it dug itself into a hole.  If K-State is really shitty job our AD seems to think it is (or eveyone seems to think it is) then it takes a ballsy move to stay competitive.  If it is really so undesirable that only fired coaches are willing to listen to an offer then at that point in time you MUST take a risk.

My anger is that I don't think John Currie cares about winning basketball at Kansas State.  He cares about non-losing basketball and there's a really difference between the two.

I agree, a Weber hire is essentually a belief that we can be fairly competitive, go to regular postseasons (NCAAs and NITs), but never really be a true player to win league titles (or more).

Sounds like Schultz is expecting Championships... all we have to do is just rally around Weber.  If he does not win does that now make it our fault?  :dunno:

Quote from: Kirk Schulz
K-Staters - now it is time to rally around Coach Weber and help him win our first Big 12 Championship in MBB!

Bramlage built on Indian burial...only explanation.

That was the theory from the mid 90's.

Gene's blinded by bias because they're good friends but claims it's a great hire.  Claims Weber will keep current players, has a good chance of keeping Upshaw, has 2 top 50 recruits in his back pocket, and might bring 2 transfers from Illinois.    Gene was telling people that the hire was a likelihood back on March 26th.  And Weber initiated the interview not Currie.

Jack Gardner gave Absury a glowing endorsement back in the day and Tex Winter did the same for Wooly.  I expect not much better this time around.

So is KSU. Does that make you guys pussyaggies?

Would take.  Pigaggies love their pigs, the methaggies love meth. If we as Cat fans have to be known for an addiction to something, I guess you have us there.

Bumping to get some of the Arkansas crap off of the front page.

Geez what a bunch of ignorant dumb fucks you k state people are.  Are the admission standards really that low that bleedingpurple, Sabination, mocat and pete could get in. Say it aint so.  Hey dumbasses, google Joe Petrino and see what you find out.  Be smart enough to get your facts straight before you show your ignorance.  Why is it that ksu people don't have any knowledge outside of the Big 12.   I don't know if any of you have heard about this network called ESPN.  If you can get it in KS, watch a program called Sports Center and it will bring you up to date on who coaches where and what schools are in the SEC.

:surprised: Unfortunate the way the old man got canned after winning all of those games.  Child Abuse is an epidemic that should always be taken seriously.

Farmageddon would require at least both participants to be an Ag school/Land Grant.  Iowa is just as Ag as chickens down the road.

Dude BITB is interviewing just brought up a great point.

Texas floodgates are opened, recruits to play 4 games in texas every year.

So you are saying that part of the deal was that Tex, A&M, Tech, and Baylor never have to travel to Manhattan every again?

15
I still can't believe anyone could think K-State could be better off in any realistic situation not aligned with Texas.  Unbelievable really.

I will love being in the Big TeXas Conference.

Warm up the tshirt website mother frackers!

We need somebody to to a mockup of the Big XII logo with a 10 somewhere in it like the Big Televen.

Or will we just become the Big teXas

My senior year at KSU... was in the front row of the student section right behind the KSU bench for every game.  That article definitely captures the optimism of the time and how he might be the one to get the job done... Who would have thought it would be such a disaster...

So, due to Mr. and Mrs. Stupid Fitz's elite status in the community  , we had to attend a black tie event this evening.  I was pretty  :curse: since I had to put on a tux and leave during the first half of the game.  So we get there and I find out there is a silent auction.  I grab a cocktail and start looking at some stuff and I see it.  There it is, a beautiful nike basketball with the white panels perfect for an elite individual to sign their name.  But who's name is it?  Frank Mother Fracking Martin's, that's who.  The basketball was next to a signed OB football (like anyone would want that now).  Anywho, I make the first bid and Mrs. Fitz (not the real, ugly Mrs. Fitz) walk around and have a few drinks and look at other items.  With about 15 minutes to go, I see that some a-hole has outbid me, so I bid again.  We then walk around some more and decide we better check it out before the auction closes.  Then with 1 minute left, some dude comes in signs the sheet and walks away.  Then, like a cheetah or junkyard kat, Mrs. Fitz. (again, not the real Mrs. Fitz married to the terrible reporter that runs the crappy site) steps in and places the final bid at the last second.  As I am in line to pick up my prize a lady walks up and thanks me and says, would you like to hear a story about the ball?  I say, of course.  She says they were in manhattan and were at a restaurant and saw Frank in line.  She was nervous as she has only seen him "looking mean".  She decides to ask and she said he was the nicest man on earth and that he invited the group to her office and he signed the ball later.  Then, (the best part) as I am walking out with my treasure, I hear a d00d go, "hey, there is my basketball", then his lady goes, "that is your basketball",.  I smile the whole time, thinking, no sir and maam, that is MY basketball.

Get it done Mr. Currie, get it done.   :doom:

Might be easier if you just refer to her as Mrs. Stupid next time.  :dunno:
