I love that we are #1, I love being a KSU fan, I love all of this attention (we FKING deserve it).  I love that all of those years of being a KSU fan is coming to fruition.  I love all you other KSU fans.  KSUFANGASM2012!!!!!!

Wow. It's pretty tempting to just put my tickets up for sale for 4x what I paid for them and then find a scalper at the game, actually. I'm just not quite sure it would be worth the effort.

What if you sold your tickets, made a nice profit and then could not find a ticket into the game?  I think that would be right up there with selling your soul... 

Yeah, I'm not going to do it. I'm sure there will be somebody scalping tickets at the game, though. There are just no guarantees that I would actually save money on the scalped tickets, especially if I want to get to my seat in time for all of the senior day stuff.

Crisis averted... whew.

I'm pretty sure Salina has something on the ballot requesting permission to discriminate against gay people.

This is true.   FYI, the county passed ordinance to STOP discrimination based on sexual orientation, previously.  The vote today is for an ordinance that would repeal the existing ordinance.

Best matchup: Notre Dame. Alabama and Oregon are the top two teams in the country, so KSU's best shot at winning would come against the Irish. I'll also add that this would be a great matchup. If all four teams go undefeated, I hope we can see a Tide-Ducks final and Wildcats-Irish Fiesta Bowl. There's a legitimate chance it could happen (check out Brad Edwards' latest BCS bowl projections).

Worst matchup: I mentioned this in the Alabama section, but I don't think the Crimson Tide are a good matchup for the Wildcats. K-State does all the little things right and makes you beat yourself, but it's hard to do that against Alabama. The Tide are a dangerous combination of elite talent and consistent play.
