The sentence about the various high scorers (Foster, Harris, Hill, Johnson) is odd.

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Illinois cans Groce.

I'm talking the last 5 years.

kp finishes of 27, 45, 80, 55, 29. 1 league title. 2 NCAAs, probably 3.

Vs 39, 52, 60, 125, 70. 1 NCAA. 2 NITs.

Weber's last five seasons at Illinois:
98 - 73 (.573) overall / 41 - 49 (.455) conference

Groce's five seasons at Illinois:
95 - 74 (.562) overall / 37 - 53 (.411) conference

Illinois' last ten seasons:
193 - 147 (.567) overall / 78 - 102 (.433) conference

Not a lot of difference between the two...and what will KSU's record look like five years from now?

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Weber/Self relationship

Here is where things stood between Self and Weber in early August 2011:

Illinois had a basketball reunion weekend and invited former players and coaches. The reunion was Friday evening and the alumni game was Saturday evening. Self attended the Friday evening reunion, got together with former players late Friday evening, did a local radio show Saturday and left town before the alumni game.

wtf is an illini and what league are you guys even in?

As a long time Illini fan, it hurts to admit that your question is valid. After nine years of oscar Weber, Illinois basketball is irrelevant.

Now please give oscar a chance to take KSU to the same place.

It will be a mashup of deja vu and schadenfreude...

From today's Chicago Sun Times:

I assume oscar is hoping Orris will be for KSU what Chester Frazier was for Illinois.

Frazier is the PG oscar recruited to follow Deron Williams.
