Have you guys ever met anyone with severe Bi-Polar? One of my friends will go manic after quitting his meds and be missing for a week or so doing God knows what. Dr. Welch seems like his going missing didn't catch her completely off guard which would say bi-polar or something similar to me.
Do bi-polar people get random bouts of dementia?
And, obvs, if this happens all the time, u don't say things like "losing hope for his safe return."
In my extremely limited sample of one friend, he will do fine for a year or two and then get feeling really good and think he doesn't need his meds anymore. He will either hit bottom (depressant) or go manic. Severe manic can bring on psychosis which I think is kinda like dementia. Of course I am purely speculating on a couple twitter messages and my experience with a friend I see every couple months.
