He would have loved the old Kreem Kup on Yuma.

I miss Kreem Kup.

Does his voice remind anyone else of Steve Brules?

For those not familiar...

What I've heard. Currie: "This is Kstate, we will not settle for scraps".

So of course Currie does exactly that. :dubious:

I'd make a "gott lieb?" pic ala got milk but I'm too busy at work :/

Purple back drop, one paragraph with a clear and concise argument, catchy and with doses of humor mixed in.

Anyone?

Swear to God - I was telling KK to make the "gott lieb" poster for tomorrow's rally.  SOMEONE MAKE IT NOW.  or come up with something better.  I don't care.  Lets get rollin'.

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Coaching Search Master Thread
« on: March 29, 2012, 06:33:47 PM »
Just sent this to JC.  Probably never read it.  Regardless, we need to press the man.

Dear Mr. Currie,

I'm sure by now you have been inundated with emails about the coaching search.  And I regret that this is no different.  I believe it important, though, to add my voice - to strengthen the choir shouting out the name, "Gottlieb!".  I could not have made a better case for his hiring than the one already made in the Mercury's recent report.  His name brings national attention to K-State and believe you me, we must check our pride and realize that with the loss of Coach Martin we will need that boost.  He's a smart candidate with a deep appreciation for the program.  He has ties to the Big 12 as a former player, having played for and more than likely having observed Coach Eddie Sutton.  His parent's business provides immediate access to west coast recruits.  What we lost in Coach Martin's Florida ties, we will gain back ten fold in California.  His name recognition will draw recruits (Look at the job done this year by the coach of N.C. State if you have worries about an analyst as coach).  More than that, though, he has proven on air his broad basketball knowledge and acumen.  He would be, without a doubt, both a great recruiter and a great x's and o's coach.  I've heard the other names flying around the blog-o-sphere but I don't think any of them are as promising.  Boyle, Underwood, Jankovich, Pearl, etc... - none would be able to excite EMAW nation the way a Gottlieb hire would (o.k., maybe Pearl).  Let's bring this man to K-State and ensure the basketball program's continued success. Thank you for your time.

Respectfully,

Will D. Katz, Esq.

Maybe exaggerating a bit, but you gotta sell it.
