What I love the most about this is that Gill is a nice guy therefore he will have what I like to call the "Woolridge effect."  This should keep him employed for an extra few years, on top of that there is always a huge outcry when a black coach gets fired as well.  YES!!!  That should buy them a good six years with this worthless feces.

LAWRENCE | The retiring police chief in Lawrence begins work next month as director of security for the University of Kansas athletics department.

Ron Olin, who retires Sept. 1, will work under Kansas Athletic Director Lew Perkins as head of security for the university's athletic department.

In the newly created position, Olin's duties will include evaluating a wide range of internal controls, policies and procedures and suggesting improvements.

Jim Marchiony, a Kansas associate athletics director, said Perkins had been talking to Olin about a possible position for about two years.

Olin has been Lawrence's police chief since December 1987. He'll make $115,000 a year in his new position, slightly more than his city salary of $112,863.

Hey, K-State, only 30 or so more wins in a row in football and you guys might be able to even the all-time series.
