OK, the game has gone on long enough.  I am keenly aware Chamberlain and Pierce attended KU.  What Pete, and apparently others, fails to realize is Pippen did not playat the U of A.  He played at Central Arkansas, which at the time was an NAIA school and is located in Conway.

I've seen your guys' pregame video featuring Pippen.

Don't think so.  You have probably confused him with Scotty Thurman.

Scottie Pippen, University of Arkansas grad and NBA great.  Wilt Chamberlain and Paul Pierce, KSU grads and NBA greats.

I might read this for awhile and see if I can figure out if this is full of parody and sarcasm or if you really believe that.

I believe Scottie Pippen is a U of A grad as much as you (and I) believe Chamberlain and Pierce are KSU grads.

I guess this was an attempt by Pete at humor, or maybe Pete is just a dumbass?

Did Scottie Pippen disown U of A or something? I wouldn't blame him, honestly.

University of Central Arkansas.  He started out there as a six foot team manager that was a pretty good HS player, and took an 8 inch growth spurt but kept his guard skills.

I have to say the "SEC is mediocre or bad after the top 2 teams" trope is getting old. Seriously Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) statement.

Arkansas was better than Baylor. Their d-line was one of the best we've faced all year, at least last Friday night they were.

The drops really hurt, especially in the 1st half when we needed to get a lead. I didn't mind some of the early passing, but it is only going to work temporarily at best and needed to produce 7 (at least) early so we could transition back to running the ball.

rough ridin' Brod Smith, sometimes I just want to go away permanently and other times I remember that Curry Sexton is our next option.

Baylor is a much better team than Arkansas. It was a fluke that we beat them. We simply beat ourselves with penalties and dropped passes against Arkansas. Arkansas got a ton of sacks because Klein never throws the ball away and takes a lot of sacks. He's done that all year.

Nuts. Nuts, Nuts.  You are very lucky we didn't beat you 40-7.  We started slowly, in part due to your team's tenacity.   As the game wore on, your lack of speed, athleticism, whatever you want to call it, was about to let the dam break.  Near the end your defense was pretty much giving up.  Still, I don't know why you guys are slamming Snyder.  He got more out of that 2 star average bunch than anybody else could have.

In all honesty, this K-State team had no business winning 10 games and going to a major bowl.  We were not the 2nd best team in the Big 12.  We were the grittiest, though.  The talent level of our players is more suited to the Big East.  Arky was good, but defenitely no better than OU, OSU, A&M or Baylor.  They would have lost at least 3 games in the Big 12.  There is no shame in how our season went.  Next year should bring a much improved team and we still may wind up with more losses.

How can you say that we'd lose three?  OU and O-State would have been the only possible losses.  We both squeaked by aTm, then we handled you guys, the number three Big 12 team. 

KSU was about the equivalent of Vanderbilt and Kentucky in the SEC.

Not really. I think you guys would have won had you actually ran your offense and ran the ball right at us.  A classic case of overthinking.

Yep. We didn't play our game for the first time all year. And when you do that halfway decent teams like Ark will take advantage of it.

I'm still laughing today when I go thru this board.  About 70% of our fans weren't hoggish enough to come on here before the game and talk trash with you guys.  Now they're effing everywhere.  Oh well!

After the euphoria of finally having a quality win over a quality team, I went back and looked at the stats.  Surprisingly even.  KSU showed that with talent and discipline, you can compete against better athletes with more speed.  If you had receivers that could have held on to those early passes, the game might have looked much different.

Nah.  We'd have ended up number one or possibly number two.  You scored 45 against Okie State, so we would have scored at least 50 on their defense.  You beat MU by seven, so we would have beaten them worse.  We'd have killed Texas just like everybody else.  Oklahoma is the only game we might have slipped up in, but still probably would have beaten them.

K-  I've got to get out on the roadside early so I can thumb a ride to the stadium.  I had to leave sis at the shelter because frankly, she is one ugly Arkansas girl.  I'd never get a ride if she was beside me, God love her.  I did have a good opportunity to talk to some really nice African- Americans and gay folks while I've been here.  They were the social workers who run the shelter.  My whole outlook has changed on my innate Arkansas racism and homophobia.  I feel almost Kansasian now.  I could almost pass for one except for that third eye [dad married his sis too].  Hopefully tonight we won't be given a Klein-ema, and will prevail.  In any case or outcome, I want to thank Pissclams, Kleinstone, _33, Steve Dave, Madcat and most of the rest of you for the most enjoyable week of trolling I have ever been lucky enough to experience.  You guys were hilarious!  i would gladly share a Schlitz with any of you.

I have to disagree on the craphole thing my brother.  It is on par with southeastern Arkansas.  I'd rather pheasant hunt there than anywhere else.  My buddies and I bag a few birds, then I watch them bag a couple of the local girls.  It's all good.  Not as good as sis though they say.

See, this just takes my admiration for you guys even higher.  Your tolerance for all things is pretty much unparalleled.  Personally, I don't want anything coming in thru the out door, but that's just me.  The fact that you are comfortable with exploration and drilling of the southern continent it lets me know there is hope for the rest of mankind.  We are way behind you in that aspect.  We draw the line at sis, not brother.

Tried to eat at Cattleman's in ft worth tonight. Mostly kstaters enjoying dinner chatter and the one pigaggie family was extra loud, screaming to talk to each other, kids thinking their booth was a rough ridin' monkeybars. Overheard one of them say he moved to olathe the rest of them were in awe like he said he was living in the hollywood hills.
