Did not know Arkansas had a football program until about 2 hrs ago. True story.  :dunno:
How did you not?? We've been ranked above you since you got embarrased by OU which in turn was blown out by OSU (who lost to ISU)... great continuity to the conference guys...
At least we can say we have legitimate losses, the two teams playing for the national championship, AND we played both of them when they were #1 at their place. KSU was absolutely embarressed on national television by a mediocre OU team, I mean EMBARRASSED! After that game KSU shoulda started airing up basketballs and getting back to what they can actually compete in. How can you be undefeated and blow that game?? I'll tell you... playing nobody... Arkansas' non-conference was weak this year I'll give you that, but KSU's was equally elementary.  KSU's downfall comes when they begin conference play in the Big 12 (with only ten memebers...) until OU you had only played one ranked team and that was the Baylor Busts... I mean Bears... Arkansas played 7 ranked games out of 11 compared to K-state's 4, two being top 10, The Baylor Busts, and a shitty 7-5 Texas team who only appears in the top 25 because of underlying financial and publicity motives.... It's not your fault you don't see quality competition week in and week out, its the conference's, no wonder teams are looking for the fastest way out (ahhmm ahhmm TAMU and MIZZOU saying screw Big 12 (10)  we would rather go be doormats in a competitive league than play in a glorified 7 on 7 league).
I saw some post asking if Arkansas was the TTU of the SEC... That's not even a logical question my friend TTU can throw the ball 900 times a game and be fine because there is no defense in the Big 12 (10) that can stand up to a decent spread attack.  Arkansas' scheme is probably more complex than a lot of NFL schemes, especially ones starting young/inexpierenced quarterbacks... Tyler Wilson probably has more freedom to audible than Josh Freeman does down in Tampa (as evident by Freeman's success he clearly learned a sophisticated passing system and how to read defenses in college... riiiiiiigggghhhttt....the dude is just a freak athlete, similar to Klein). Petrino has a history of having subpar (athletically speaking) quarterbacks who have an outrageous football IQ who can read defenses and comprehend the in's and out's of sophisticated passing systems. So with that said we are bringing 4 receivers and a tight end at Wilson's disposal who you will probably see on sundays to match up against the 104th ranked (out of 120) passing defense... GOOD LUCK!
:bang: <-- K-State fans and coaching staff after Petrino and Wilson go off against their high school defense.
