Question for Arkansastards:

How does it make you feel that you have to ride the coattails of the Bama's and Florida's of the world so you can brag about the SEC being the best conference while your team lingers in mediocrity and contributed exactly zero national titles to the 6 year streak?

Hypothetical: Would you be more proud if
a) the SEC loses all it's bowl games except the Cotton, and the title game is another 9-6 snorefest, and thus ESPN and other media outlets trash the SEC as pathetic posers

b) the SEC wins all it's bowl games EXCEPT the Cotton, and the national title game is a 35-34 barnburner, thus exposing your school as the sisters of the poor of the SEC

I guess to a University of Arkansas fan and alumnus it feels a lot like being a Cat fan. Our teams are similar (aside from the fact that our team plays an offense that resembles actual football). The Razorbacks are at the top of the second level teams in the SEC while KSU is in the middle of the second level of a weak Big 12. Your team like ours isn't winning a pile of National Championships (we've one 1 in football before I was born, 1 in basketball... years ago, and dozens in track and field... who cares). Both teams want to be better and that's what makes this game so interesting. I'll be there enjoying from a suite on the 50 yrd line (not bad for an Arkansas kid... I'm even bringing a few Cat fans with me). This game will be competitive and close. Your coach knows how to gameplan and I believe he will give your team a real chance to win. Our teams are similar (not in the style of play, but in status) and our fans are equally obnoxious! Good luck Cats!

Hey Guys,

We're picking the bowl games at our office tomorrow, and I'm trying to to figure out badly we'll massacre our opponent, but I can't remember who we're playing ?   I know I've heard of them once or twice before but I can't remember the name of their program.       What can I say, I live in the west now and it's hard to find information about eastern or southern mid-majors out here. I remember hearing they had a break-out year and am pretty sure they are also 10-2 and were competitive or maybe even won the Sun Belt or Bible Belt or whatever conference they're in.  Thanks in advance for the help EMAW brothers!

and a 75% chance of winning.

Lived in KC for 15 during the mildcat hayday! For years they piled up the weak noncon wins and lost the big game. Watching them lose to A&M in St. Louis was my favorite (kept them out of the National Championship game), losing to Marshall also made me laugh. Their fans suck, their coach is good but crazy (lucky butter). They will be moderately good until they bury their coach (soon), then they'll fall right back into that losing grove they're so famous for.

Doesn't change 3-1

I'm ok with our 1-3 record against KSU... The majority of those wins pre-dated:

You (your parents & grandparents)
WWI
WWII
Penicillin
Soap (in Kansas)
The forward pass (K-State still hasn't discovered this)
A Championship for KSU in anything... Other than debate (still waiting)
TV
Computers
Etc................

Nope, Hog fan and Cat hater! That game was one of the finest meltdowns I've seen... A comfortable lead in the 4th qtr... until you guys let a relatively unknown RB named Sirr Parker run the same exact slant out of the backfield for 3 scores in rapid succession! It was incredible! Not an A&M fan at all just loved that collapse!!!

That was Bama and LSU on the road.... You got that purple ass handed to you by OU at home (a team that lost to Tech, Baylor & Okie St.). Take your best shot kitty!

Typical battered wife syndrome.  It doesn't matter where it happens. Its not right.  Its not your fault. Find a good shelter.

Yes, we were battered by our husbands Bama and LSU... While OU murdered you while your children watched in your house.
