Listened to some on the radio, Frank said this is our time, more than Mikey did in that amazing scene in Goonies where they almost packed it all in to ride up Troys bucket.

Haha.. I thought and said the exact same thing to my girlfriend when I heard Frank saying that over and over today.

lower level seats on ticketmaster for face value are still available. I know some guys who bought tickets a couple weeks ago and could only get upper deck.

Just to clarify,  KU has won 3 conference championships in the last 6 years.(Not the 6 I keep hearing about)   I am tired of hearing about 6 straight titles. If you have the same record with a team and lose the tiebreaker you aren't champions.

The team to focus on for stealing our spot in OKC has to be New Mexico, they will have either Wyoming or Air Force in their first game of the MWC tournament.  They have wone one close game and one blowout over each team.

ideally they put both kstate and unm in okc.  doesn't matter much who is 2 and who is 3.

That isn't gonna happen unless New Mexico and us both fall and we play in a 4/5 matchup.  KU's 4 team bracket will be one of the mini brackets and it will be either us, New Mexico, or Baylor being the top team in the other 4 team bracket  in OKC.

Am I selfish that I would prefer a 2 seed in OKC than a 1 seed anywhere else?  Is the difference really that significant?

It doesn't matter if we are a 1 seed or a 2 seed... we'll be in Oklahoma city regardless.

Also, I would rather see our money go to a new court to replace the shitty looking one we have now, and practice facilities for the players.  Seats are the last thing we need at the moment.

I agree with you but can a man dream?

This thread is dumb.

1)  Low populated Manhattan, KS

2)  Should probably pack non-conference games before we even sniff the idea.

It doesn't really matter if you have empty seats for some of the non-con as long as you fill the conference games and bigger and weekend non con games.   Another couple years of being a solid top 25 team and  the demand will be there.

Sure as hell helps the budget.  KU seems to be able to sell out every game, even teams like FHSU.  Until we are at that level, we have no business thinking expansion other than for more luxury seating.

For those non-conf games, only 65% of the students show up.  Why should we build more seats for them?

We do sell out or come close to selling out non-con games.  We have empty seats because people don't want to drive 4-5 hour round trip on a wednesday to watch us kick centenary's ass.

They should go saw our fatass stairways in half and extend the benches and seats where applicable. Boom 200 seats.

That's expansion. The new fashioned way.

haha.. No sh*t.... we have to have the widest/ugliest stairways in the country.

There is no need and there probably never will be.

I don't know why you say that.   There is no way/need in the next couple years but who knows what the demand will be in 5 years or beyond.

I kind of thought Bud Walton arena in Arkansas is what Bramlage could look like.  It was built a few years after ours and is in the shape of an octagon...

Obviously money is tight but if we ever do get to the point where we expand on the OOD does anyone have any idea on the cost/way we would go about doing it?   I know I've heard it would be relatively inexpensive since Bramlage is built into the ground.

The equivelant would be blowing a double digit lead with 6 minutes to go in the Final Four against a team like Vandy.  Yep, that would be about the equivelant.

Fracking frat queers... they think there circle jerk chapter meetings are more important than the 7th ranked team in the country.  We should tar and feather those fucks.  They must learn that this won't be tolerated.
