Kansas State Football / Good game Jayhawks
« on: January 07, 2012, 10:36:52 AM »
Our offense was definitely lagging due to having 40+ days off but thankfully our dominant SEC defense picked up the slack.  It goes to show you just how above the SEC is in comparison to other conferences.  We had probably the 8th or 9th best defense in the SEC and we were still able to hold your team to only 260 yards total offense.  Be thankful you didn't have to play an Alabama or LSU or things would have gotten ugly real quick.

I wish we would have put another couple of TDs on you but Petrino slowed things down there towards the end.  He probably didn't want to piss your coach off too bad because he is old and probably would have had a heart attack...and that sort of things hangs with you for a while, and that is the last thing Petrino needs on his national championship run next season.

Unfortunately this was the only SEC/Big 12 bowl game this season, and it went as expected.  The Big 12 isn't a "bad" conference, but they are firmly below the SEC.  But being number 2 or 3 isn't all that bad, right?

I wish for all of you that you would have made a BCS bowl this season.  Although you probably would have lost, it would be a good end to what is a once-in-a-lifetime season for your Jayhawks.  You might have lucked out and got to lose to a different SEC powerhouse, and I'm sure it is really inspiring for your players to get to see the teams they look up to in person.  It gives them something to work towards, ya know?

I'll be cheering for you, but it is looking like you are going to go back to 5 and 6 win seasons for the next few years.

And of course, the terrifying Pual Clover.

I personally know Paul Clover, and this photo had to have been taken roughly 20 years ago.    :D

(Also reminds me of the time I witnessed him spill a full cup of coffee all over himself.

Wait...this man was alive 20 years ago?

That deserves me inserting this double handed purple shocker hybrid attack picture that you people so graciously included when I become an emaw member.

 :combofan:

Yeah, it's just that I can't believe they haven't periodically updated their employee photos like most companies do.  Now that I look at it, that may be 25 years old.  Hard to tell.

Are you from the future?  Who wins the Cotton Bowl this year?

I predict LSU wins the Cotton Bowl this year by a score of 41 to 24.

Woah...am I from the future, too?

Looks like someone is buying into the system. Welcome aboard the SS goEMAW

I'm just putting on a facade.  It's more for your wheat than anything.  It is wheat that you have a lot of, right?  Or is that corn?

Our Walmart people and your corn people should become friends.  Imagine the possibilities...

ya i got lost on that  word.  is capacious a type of deli meat?

I believe it means bitter-tasting and is generally used to describe sharp cheddars from southeastern France.

you're trying to make fun of us for having an institute in our town that leads the world in food production standards?

No making fun of here.  All respect, homey.  All I ask is that you bring me some biscuits at Jerry World.

The Purple Cat things are committed to protecting the safety of the global food supply chain and delivering high value educational and technical programs.

AIB provides Food Safety Inspections, Audits, and Certifications, Food Safety Education, and Research & Technical Services. Their renowned School of Baking offers the best educational experience in the baking industry to students from North America and around the world.

Their potent little 10/12/whatever it is called now defense will be trying to get to our all SEC QB Tyler Wilson constantly.  Leading this attack will be no other than the renowned Jerry Mithen.  He was a driving force behind the development of the International Food Audit Program service, and in 1995 was chosen to oversee the restructuring of the Occupational Safety Audits Program under the same type of organizational structure that has been so successful for Food Safety.  Look for constant blitzes and his tendency to favor the outside.

On the offensive side of the ball, they return several key starters from last year's run to the Andvanced Roll and Bread Production Seminar Bowl.

Specifically, Ruth Emerson.  This hot momma is well-known for her capacious memory and encyclopedic knowledge of baking, and was recognized as a major resource in her own right when the Louis Livingston Library was renamed in her honor at the meeting of the AIB Board of Trustees at Atlantic.  This is, of course, coupled with an impressive sub 4.4 forty, good feet, and great power after contact, means that we well have to tackle well if we expect to beat the Jayhawks in January.

And on the passing side, none other than the amazing Gur Ranhotra.  This guy was truly a diamond in the rough.  He was found making wheat outfits on the side of the road after being kicked out of the Westboro Church, and Kansas Jayhawks current coach, Ron Prince, was able to convert this energy into an amazing display on the football field.  Gur excels at reading deep routes and has excellent footwork.  He is also very good at scrambling, which goes back to his days as a young child in Kansas, running away from tornadoes in Omaha.

The Chiefs have a wide array of wide receivers to throw to.  Keep your eyes out for big, bad James Vetter:

And of course, the terrifying Pual Clover.

These bakery masterminds are sure get some major yardage, cook some delicious bread, and look good doing it.

All in all it should be a great game, with one of the teams coming from a respected, dominating conference, and another team will be there, too.

I see a high-scoring affair with pastries for all.

Arkansas Razorbacks - 42

AIB Catbirds - 27

I seriously have never heard of Kansas State before this season.  I always thought the Jayhawks were the only school in that miserable state.  Well, at least one of the programs has been semi-successful in sports up to this point.

Been to Kansas a few times.   I never thought I could find a place that is actually worst than Oklahoma, but Kansas takes the cake.

Oklahoma is still worse. However, the one time I drove through Kansas (going to Colorado, because no one in Kansas wants to be stay...) it was snowing and it sucked.

Kansas does have Westboro, however. Those f'ers tried to picket the funeral of our deceased player Garrett Uekman, and only were warded off when a radio station in Arkansas gave them airtime one morning. That made me sick and is reason #1 why I hate Kansas.

RIP

I know, I know...I'd be a cynical bad person as well if I had to live in Kansas.

Stuff like this is completely uncalled for.

Mods can we ban this clown?

I'm canceling my subscription if they don't. this arkansas razorback fan just came on here and said we were a worst state than Oklahoma. absolute bullcrap.

Wait...you actually pay money to be on this site?  What on earth do you talk about all day on here?  Sure can't be much to say in regards to your sports teams.  And obviously Kansas doesn't exactly have a lot going for it, either.

Hey, whatever floats your boat.

Double standards ftw!

You Kansas people need to toughen up if you are going to sit at the big boy table and play a legit SEC team.

Get the lube ready and have your Jayhawk buddies on speed dial.  I'm sure they'll come over and lend you a shoulder to cry on after your beating.
