Reminds me of that picture of Brod from a few years ago.

I miss Brod pretty badly

Brod by far had the dopest haircuts the Cats have seen in years. To bad he couldn't lay off to dope long enough to stay on the team.... :bigtoke:

Seriously, nobody can top Chase Mejia for the title of most bad-ass-former-wildcat-ever.

The best part of this thread is the Chase Mejia reference.

Just heard from Brodrick Smith himself, that he is cleared to play this saturday against Iowa State and what ever bowl we get thrown into.

I just talked to Ron Anderson.  He said he will be back next year!   :emawkid:
just saw Brodrick Smith in GARDEN CITY.

Obviously, Garden is his hometown. And it was thanksgiving break on top of that.  Can attest to the fact that he was in Waters Hall, room 351, at 9:30 this morning.

Beyond that, after the first game he sat out Brod told me personally that he was "banged up a bit". Don't know if I believe it, he appeared to be walking fine. A person I know with insidery type info thinks he was caught smoking weed. Don't know, nor care. Glad he'll be back on the field.

Work behind the bar at So Long Saloon in Aggiville, tonight three gentleman ate at the bar and talked business the entire time.  Talking about bids and overhead costs. Told me they work for a company out of Michigan specializing and stadium construction. Spoke about some big name stadiums that their company has contracts with and said they were in town on business for BSFS. Sounds like what ever happens will be ELITE. FWIW, I also thought they sounded like they plan to add in some hidden costs, don't know the convo I eavesdropped on had anything to do with BSFS.

Kansas State Football / Re: Tailgating TV Setup

My house's social chair is a idiot and scheduled our barn party for 7:00 pm this Saturday.  Does anyone in the MHK area have a tailgating satellite TV rig that we could rent Saturday evening? We have a projector, just need something to send a signal to it.

You will be getting hazed harder than the Cats will haze Texas Tech. TIA.

Lmao #BradenWilson a fooolllllll

More reason to love Brod.

This was tweeted during Socio 570 when Braden was asked a question about the homework and had absolutely no idea how to answer. Very funny. Impressed with Brod as a student in class.

vic is too cocky, he will get knocked out.

also, his brother is a bitch, just fyi, sambo.

Your obviously an idiot. Vic is one of the most down to earth people I've ever had the chance to meet.  I personally think that HBO wanted him to have more of a "tough guy" image which is why he comes off wayyyyy more cocky for this fight than any other. He's an all around nice kid. All I have to do is mention Mayweather to prove you have no idea what you're talking about.

ALSO.

Sounds like Vic's little brother Temo porked your girlfriend. I can personally guarantee Temo would knock your dick in the dirt.

Thoughts? Predictions?

I'm going to make two bold predictions.

1. Victor makes it to at least the 6th round.
2. Victor gives Mayweather his first knock down.

Growing up with Vic and his brother Temo, I'm stoked for the fight this saturday. Should be a good one.

Was going to post this awhile ago. Brod told me he met him in Miami, saw him one night, and decided to approach him when he saw him out the next night.

Also met him on the same trip:

ALSO: I'm loving the Victor Ortiz rep in the thread! I'm calling 6th round knock out of Maywether come Sept 17. Victor claims he beat me up on the soccer field back in 4th grade, but thats a blatant lie. I would have had him way back then! But, Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios just secured his own IBF world championship.  With two world champion boxers hailing from GUTTER CITY, I'm going to make the BOLD statment that Garden City is the hardest town in the state of KS. TRUTH.

Kansas State Football / Re: Where does Brodrick fit into WR mix?
« on: August 08, 2011, 07:02:45 PM »
Brod is the Snyderiest WR we have on our squad. He makes every downfield block and hustles even on the backside of a play. Other than his gifted size, extremely blessed good looks, well above average route running skills and a knack to make plays, Brod's best ability may be his blocking skills. And old men love them some blocking WR's. He'll ease into the #1 option just fine by the 3rd practice.

I think Brod will surprise some people when his name creeps up the NFL draft charts.

Brod isn't fast enough to be drafted.  If he continues to improve on his current trajectory, I think he has a chance to at least get an invite to a camp as a FA, but he won't be drafted.

However, he is bull strong and can use that strength to get separation at the time of reception.

My personal feeling is that Harper will be the #1 by the end of the year.  But that depends on Chris.

FULLY BACK the statement by Lefty. Brod's blocking ability and hustle are going to push him into the number 1 spot. He was the all business type in the gym in highschool, blocked like a maniac in the few games he played last year, and it seems that EVERYBODY forgot that he started over Harper last year regardless before his injury.

I talked with Brod a week or two ago and he said he's ready to jump on the field and made the VERY bold statement of guaranteeing (to me at least, FWIW) that we win 7 games. Brod is our man, without a doubt.

You don't draft a WR that can block.  You can invite him to camp and see if he works out, but you don't draft a blocker and a hustler, especially at WR.

You draft height and speed.  You sign the rest as free agents.

Smith is going to be a really, really solid college WR that will do some very nice things for us.  But let's not go overboard with the draft talk.  He hasn't done anything near draft worthy yet.

I guess I should have prefaced that I agreed with the statement of Brod being the most suitable for Snyder and unquoted the part about his NFL draft stock, because frankly, he has to have a STAND OUT season to creep anywhere near playing professionally for the NFL, and this is coming from a kid who grew up with him on both the baseball and football field.  I hope it happens, but I personally just don't see it unless he makes the magic happen.

Beyond that, are we forgetting about CURRY SEXTON? Granted he is young, greyshirt last year, redshirt this year? Or will he ride bench? He got ALOT of praise after the spring game, and I'm curious as to where he sits in this line up.  Plus, FWIW.... I used to bang his older sister.   :gocho:
