Kansas State Football / Re: The Slip Screen
« on: October 10, 2012, 09:50:02 AM »
It is because of how defenses are playing us........

The key time to hit a slip screen is when the defense is blitzing and the DB's are way down field. Since teams are not afraid of the deep ball this situation doesn't arise much in the game.

My guess is if we hit a few deep balls they will soften up.  So, if we are in a clear passing down, were the defense is going to blitz, with the DB's back.  We will probably see it.

I am 100% for the hire of Josh Pastner.  He would be number one on my big board and would give him a very high salary.  He is at $1.7 mil now with Memphis.  I would think $2.3 mil with upwards of $3 mil after incentive bonuses, would be easily acceptable for him.

Preseason All Big 12 team:
McGruder
JO
J'Covan Brown
Pierre Jackson
Jeff Withey

With potential of Withey and Brown leaving for draft.  I have seen both of them on multiple mock drafts.  :crossfingers:

Who has Brown in a mock draft? LOL.

Sorry only one mock has him.  We can hope he is an idiot and still leaves.

I think whenever Turnover Taylor is shooting free throws we should chant his name LHC Bill Snyder style.   "Turnover Taylor, clap clap, clap clap clap"  :dunno:

The only bright spot I can find to help me get through this. Is to think we are only 10 points from being a top 5 team.  I know its not much, but gives me just the slightest of hope that in February we can get over the hump.

Kansas State Football / Vote Klein for Heisman

Can vote once a day.  Anyone on campus should vote on all the computers in the library.  Or if you are smart enough to release and renew your ip address you can have a hay-day.

He is behind now.  It would be nice to get him up to at least top 5. Go Cats.

If JHR leaves we definitely need Wally back, even if he doesn't leave I think we still need him back.

The way Samuels is always in foul trouble we probably can't count on more that 25 min a game out of him.
Realistically I don't see JHR with more than 20 min a game.
That leaves 35 min in the the front court for the freshman.

I heard that Nick is leaving for sure and Jordan is thinking about leaving.  Also, Wally wants back on the team but the coaches said no.

Heard from a friend that heard from someone else that talked to a player on the team. So who knows, but take it for whatever it is worth.

What about Willie Reed transfering in from Saint Louis.  Is that a no go now?  Seems like we could really use him.
