Good story. I hope D Scott is still doing well with his recovery. That's a very difficult profession for that sort of thing.
Recovery is hard for most of us. It's amazing how much of life involves alcohol consumption.

I'm pretty open about my recovery. Recovery is not really a topic of conversation here on gE. I think it's only come up once or twice. If you follow me on Twitter, you know.
we should have a thread. It's really been incredibly positive for a few of my friends (including other posters here who can tell their story if they want). Usually it only comes up when wacky's on a bender, I think his life would improve immeasurably if he was sober.
If only we were more open about this, I think there are people out there that want to quit, they just don't know how, it's so prevalent in our society. I don't believe drinking is inherently bad, but it seems to wreck more things than it's ever fixed. If any of you are trying, just keep going, you can do it!
