Good story.  I hope D Scott is still doing well with his recovery.  That's a very difficult profession for that sort of thing.
I agree. I think it shows the HCBS wasn't full of crap and still lives with that he tried to instill in his players. Helping Scott like that is quite honorable.

Recovery is hard for most of us. It's amazing how much of life involves alcohol consumption.

Wow ipa, thanks for sharing, pretty amazing to share that on a message board.

In lighter news, can we talk about your screen name?
NoMoreIPA4Me perhaps. :)

I'm pretty open about my recovery. Recovery is not really a topic of conversation here on gE. I think it's only come up once or twice. If you follow me on Twitter, you know.

we should have a thread. It's really been incredibly positive for a few of my friends (including other posters here who can tell their story if they want). Usually it only comes up when wacky's on a bender, I think his life would improve immeasurably if he was sober.

If only we were more open about this,  I think there are people out there that want to quit, they just don't know how, it's so prevalent in our society.  I don't believe drinking is inherently bad, but it seems to wreck more things than it's ever fixed.  If any of you are trying, just keep going, you can do it!

Let's enjoy the common ground for at least 12 hours.  Have a marshmallow roast or something.

At the 40 minute mark, I'm sure you guys have all seen this.  But this caused me to hate them a little less.  I know it's easy to cheer when you still won, but I always thought this was cool.  I didn't know about this until 25 years later.

But yeah, the parking in a driveway thing is a bit odd.

This thread coming back was awesome, please don't let it die.

Powercat13, if you do end up with a tailgate tv setup, make sure you start setting up early. Some Zoutards took like an hour to get it working on saturday and missed the first quarter of the bedlam game. You def don't want to miss that much 'Cats, and you don't seem good with technology, so start early my friend.

Hey! Gabe is really good with technology!
