Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Are there any positives?

1 - Future AD at any school can now play the "we will fire him and hire Weber" card when players try to start a mutiny

2 - We will have a new AD by the time the next football coaching search happens

Pretty sure the only professional school they have that keeps them in the 150 is the pharmacy school...appears they have the most research grants while KU med lies near the bottom.

Pharmacy school?  I Didn't realize that they offered degrees in cooking meth.  Walter White would be proud.

OK, just looked at this, but I've been drinking so I don't guarantee 100% accuracy

Since 2002:

Wisconson versus 9-16 seeds in tournament: 12-1
Versus 1-8 seeds: 1-8

Nice shirt John.

I loved that shirt.  First thought in my mind when I saw it was "Can I get one of those at the goEMAW.com online shop?"

It's pretty damn hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. Cats by 12.

I would be willing to bet everything I own that if you look at every 3rd matchup between basketball teams in the same season in the last 20 years that where one team has won the first 2 games, that team will also win the 3rd game more than 50% of the time. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the team won the 3rd game more than 70% of the time. In reality, it's hard to beat a team that has already beaten you twice.

Cats win 72-60.

I did this earlier, I came up with 42-23 record that the team wins the 3rd game as well, based on Big 12 Tournament History:

1995   KU   W   Iowa St.   89-74

Doesn't sound incongruent to what WTW said, really.

Yeah... he never comes back to Lawrence.  He just owns a condo there.

 :flush:

So what, he was given a condo to live in when he went to KU, and Lawrence is such a hole that nobody wants a condo there, so he hasn't been able to sell it.

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Dick Vitale

He is great for the game overall.  Two million percent better than "Good Game but my ears are bleeding from listening to you" Knight.

To me, Vitale's big drawback is that he always spends ten minutes talking about KU or Duke or North Carolina even though they aren't playing in the game he is broadcasting while ignoring the game action.  Stick with analyzing the current game; if you want to talk about other teams become a studio analyst, where they are supposed to do that role.

First order of business, fire whoever wrote his background piece.  Gig is only acceptable when used with 'em and for musicians.

Also, was the previous AD or other hire "afraid to make trips all over to meet people"?
