You have to admit, shutting out the 119th ranked offense (that's next to last for those keeping score at home) in the country is pretty effing big time.

Well you have to admit, that's a prolific passing attack we're putting out there.

Look out record books.

Oh, and I am not saying that it's good that Beamer hired his kid necessarily, but at least he's coached elsewhere at BCS schools.

I've said it before and I'll say it again jt, if Sean goes off and coaches somewhere else and proves himself outside of daddy's little bubble, then he certainly is a viable candidate to replace daddy.  But he's NEVER left Daddy's little bubble at K-State.

Shane Beemer has spent 7 seasons AWAY from daddy's bubble coaching at SEC schools.   Only a hyper Snyder apologist like you can't see the difference.

Shane Beemer coached:

4 Seasons at South Carolina

3 Seasons at Mississippi State

and was a grad ass't at Tennessee prior to that.

Before joining the VT staff.

jt please compare and contrast that to Sean's resume . . . tia.

Auburn needs to fire their D-coordinator asap.  If they had a halfway decent defense, they would be a contender for the nat'l champ again...

Yeah Clemson has 600 yards of Total Offense.

They looked good in the first half on offense, and I figured with Al Groh running GT's defense they'd still have some success, but they've done nothing.   Typical Chuck Long.

Six Hundred and Sixty Six Yards of Total offense for GT . . . 666 . . .  :ohno:

53713
Had the conference listened to K-State alum Kevin Weiberg a few years ago, none of this would be happening.

53714
Folks, at this juncture, the goal is to keep (and has always been) K-State in an AQ conference, playing conference games against AQ conference opponents.

The bowls and possibly even the TV networks are going to fight like hell to stop a super conference scenario . . . even schools and coaches don't want that on many levels because if you're a coach, and you don't make the so called super conference playoffs a few years in a row, guess what?  Your ass is out of there, you make bowl games, you live a lot longer.

It happens.

I go to Home Depot right at the start of the 2nd half, and I walk back in the door with 5 minutes left in the 3rd and it's 45-17, what the hell happened??

Nice catch by the ku guy.

GT is averaging 15.5 yards per carry so far.

ku's offense just keeps making nice plays and keeping drives going, of course GT's defense is coached by Al Groh and he has never impressed me.

On defense, ku is just getting destroyed so far, multiple plays where there wasn't any ku guys within yards of the ball carrier.

Their offense looks very good, their defense . . . not so much.   Both defenses are bad, GT horrible tackling fundamentals, ku looks like they didn't even practice against the option so far.

Like I said earlier this week, the editor of the ACC Sports Journal and a sydicated talk show host out of Raleigh said that as long as Texas clings to the LHN, according to the ACC administrators he talked to, there's very little chance they'll be invited to the ACC.   That isn't to say the LHN format can be changed to appease the ACC schools, but if Texas wants the LHN as is, according to David Glenn they're not going to get invited to the ACC.

53721
  at A&M, they are wanting to leave at the exact wrong time, and some of things I've heard listening to SEC sports radio a little this last week is that Bill Byrne and Mike Sherman aren't exactly excited about going to the SEC, but they're just along for the ride with their penile challenged president and board of directors.

If their administration had a half a brain, they'd understand they quite literally could be on the cusp of surpassing Texas in football, I don't think Mack Brown is long for Texas at this point.   His best bud just railroaded out of there for sexual harassment . . . IMO Mack is just looking to stuff about $10 million more of Texas' money into his pocket and then he's riding off into the sunset.   A&M will never be in the same position in the SEC, never.

Yes.

What does revenue of individual athletic departments have to do with media worth?

Using what you've been saying Beems, if ND agrees to share the media deals they have negotiated on their own with any conference they join, their worth to the conference blows schools like ku out of the water.

Looking at ku's last 3 years of gross revenues, they're in a log jam with a host of other schools and still well below the top schools in D1 athletics.

That had NOTHING to do with what I said, you actually don't even know what you've posted.

SMH

So in essence Ben, a re-structured media deal between a conference and Notre Dame could be absolutely off the charts, dwarfing Patrick-Longtime TV Insider's estimates.

ku filled their stadium every bit as much if not moreso the following year Beems and gross revenues plummeted $17 million dollars.   This is not hard.
