Guys real talk here. When did you buy the ring? How long before asking did you have it?

We are both pragmatic. We discussed it ahead of time & jointly decided to get married. Then she picked out the ring.
Similar. She picked out a few she liked. I bought the one I liked the most on my own.

Wedding bands were purchased together.

Tickets are decently priced. Might make the drive to Lexington tomorrow.

Will the game on Sunday be played in the smaller arena also?
Yes. That is the women's home court.

Men's tournament is being played at Rupp.

That's not how a recession is defined.

Edit... SD snuck in a post.

That is the correct definition.

The Walton Goggins/Rockwell scene is the best 5 minutes of television that I've seen in a while.

I didn't really get it, and I'm pretty sure that was the first thing that I have even seen Sam Rockwell in, other than 3 billboards and I have no idea who he is in that movie. A podcast I listen to said there was a huge cameo in this episode and when I saw it, I was like  :dunno: Also researching this dude I guess that he's Leslie Bibb's partner, her storyline in this season is my favorite.

Let me tell you about my favorite flick of all time, Jojo Rabbit.

Well, I won't tell you about it. I highly recommend it. And Sam Rockwell is incredible in it.
Thirty minutes and I'm laughing my ass off.

I knew it would be quirky with your recommendo and it's not disappointing.

Anyone know which presidents the debt increased the most under?

In terms of Debt to GDP ratio, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Actually, I don't know what I was thinking. The answers are Barack Obama and Donald Trump. I was off by one year due to the election being in 2020, but Biden not taking office until 2021. George W. Bush would probably be third on this list.

The drivers of the increase in Debt to GDP ratio were the fiscal policy responses to the financial crisis of 2008 and COVID.

This is just looking at the time period since 1970. If you want to go back further, the Civil War, WW I, the Great Depression and WW II were also big drivers of an increase in the Debt to GDP ratio.
Do you think the policy makers have the intestinal fortitude to let things unwind a bit more to get at least to 80%? We barely bounced at 90% two years ago.

Are there any $10 or $15 minimum craps tables anymore? Harder and harder to find. Heck even New Orleans was $25 and $50 last trip.

I'm disappointed that I forgot about this game. I had a free evening in Cincinnati last night.

What was your favorite stop?
From an excursion perspective, I liked Roatan. We did the sloth and monkey experience. Pretty cool to hold them and interact. We also went swimming with dolphins in Cozumel and zip lines through caves and jungle in Belize.

Costa Maya was meh. We went to Mayan ruins and a shady ass beach villa. Fully expected cartel to pop out at any time while we were bouncing down a dirt road along the beach.

We're trying to find a cruise that includes Roatan and skips Costa Maya. No luck so far on RC. We may just take a cab downtown for lunch and chill at Malecon21 for the Costa Maya port call. Will definitely be less expensive.

I'm not a big cruise person but my parents love them and the last one I went on with them one of the stops was Costa Maya(this was like 6 years ago). The built up area right where you exit the cruise ship was a literal hell on earth. Imagine 4k people shuttling single file off a ship through a zig zag area with little vendor shops hawking cheap goods/knock off margaritaville bars/locals dressed as Mayans dancing etc etc.

Once we got through that we just took a shuttle/cab about 2 miles south to Mahahaul beach and drank $1 beers and ate some seafood on the beach which was pretty enjoyable. It was a night and day difference compared to the built up area right next to the pier.
Four ships hit the port at the same time. It was a zig zag hell.

Went on my first cruise for our honeymoon last week. Had a great time other than the hot tub edgers.

We sailed with Royal Caribbean from Tampa to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize City, and Costa Maya on the Radiance of the Seas.

We're already planning the next trip. Taking the girls and their boyfriends. Haven't locked down an itinerary yet.

Picturing IPA sitting on a bench somewhere on a boat glaring at people not sitting in the hot tub and posting here made me LOL.
Pretty stinking accurate.

Hot tub edge sitters.

If you're hot, GTFO of the hot tub completely and let others enjoy it.

Where are you hanging out that there's a line for the hot tub?
Gulf cruise. Honeymoon trip.

There was a period of my life where I rawdogged the mattress (laying on the floor) for probably over a year.

I’ve done that too and honestly I’m not sure if there is any impact on performance. I suppose maybe the mattress is a bit better ventilated when on a frame but I’m not sure it makes an appreciable difference
Body sweat and dead skin are the reasons to use sheets. Keeps the stank from the mattress. Wash your sheets, heathens.

Old balls like me wear below ankle socks.

My daughter's boyfriend (under 30), wears color coordinated or white crew socks.

I bought six suits at Macy's a few weeks ago. Needed a wardrobe revamp for our wedding and cruise. Grabbed an extra for Derby week as well.
