We might be the lowest, or tied for lowest, seeded Big 12 team.

52
If we play this way, I would definitely take my chances against any 8/9 seed in the tournament we could face.

i'm not entirely sure that _fan has ever picked against the cats and that's just one of the many things that i like about him.

At OU and against Okie lite, if I recall correctly

I want the 8/9 if they put us in the Midwest, if they don't :flush:

Yup.  Not to insult WSU but they are going to be the easiest second round opponent of anyone with a 7-10 seed.

I don't think that at all, that scenario has the highest fun quotient

Yeah I don't know how anyone would know that other than they are pretending they know that to be edgy on a message board. For all I know they would beat us by 40 but oh well it's just sports and fun.

Fun definitely.  I didn't say we would beat WSU, just that I would like our odds better than any other teams ranked in the top ten.

Nova?

Maybe this tank is enough to get a 10 or 11 seed instead of the 8 or 9 we seem destined for? Would have been cool to say we beat every team in the Big 12 this season though.

We have 6 players (Gip, Hurt, DJamer, Bolden, Nino, recruit) for 2 spots in our frontcourt next year. We have six players (Jevon, Nigel, Foster, Harris, Wes, Edwards) for 3 spots in our backcourt, and I think Harris will probably redshirt. So, why do people want to move Wes to the 4????

Maybe point forward that some have alluded to earlier. Shane 2.0? I don't think it would be as much of moving him to the 4, but maybe oscar would want some lineup that has Nigel/Jevon and Edwards and Foster on the court at the same time.

It's possible that it could be used in certain situations, but I don't think it will be a lineup you see very often at all. There's a reason that oscar is still recruiting another power forward.

I'll buy that. My take is that if I can recall correctly, oscar has had very few lineups this year that didn't include Jevon/NuWill/Nigel at the point. Unless Edwards or Foster takes over some of those minutes from Will leaving at the point, you're almost forced to have Edwards and Foster at the 2 and 3 when they're in together.

Will be really interesting to see the difference between the bigger lineups with Gip/Hurt/Bolden/DJamer at the 4 and 5, and the smaller lineups with Nino/Wes at the 4 and then one of the bigs at the 5.

Someone speak slowly and explain exactly why a 10 seed is functionally worse than an 8/9.  It seems to be better in nearly every way.
Depends if you want a better shot at winning one game or two. Beating a 8 or 9 is easier then beating a 7. Beating a 7 and a 2 is easier then beating a 8/9 and a 1.

A little outdated, doesn't include FGCU being a 15 seed into the Sweet 16. Actually, none of last year's tourney got incorporated into their stats. Interesting stuff nonetheless

60
Would definitely take Baylor twice in a row.

Nino may be somewhat poor on D, but I do love his hard fouls when someone is about to get an easy transition layup though.

Shane clapping right after the Ejim T might be my favorite part

I feel they are very similar to the snitches 'get stitches' Delonte West, and Jammer Nelson St. Joes team. Who is/was better, I have no idea..

I totally understand the argument he doesn't know the offense too well yet, and was mainly playing off energy, because of his lack of practice. But what I don't get is what on earth was he doing by himself? You would imagine probably practicing his shots and free throws. Can we get some insidery info from the student manager as to what his shooting percentage was when he was rebounding for him?

66
We won in 2008 at home, we won in 2011 at home, we win tonight in 2014 at home. That's my basis.

67
IIRC, wasn't the first KU game where Foster was just coming off his dislocated finger? Wiggins is a solid defender, but I'd like to think Foster's injury had more of an impact on his poor output that game.

68
I found most interesting comparing your two figures. Big 12 is greater than national average in PPP, FTR, and Pace.

5, 10, 15 years down the road, no one remembers if you lost first round or second round, but they certainly will know you made the NCAA's that year. No one cares about winning some exhibition NIT dumpster fire.

DUMBASS

So 15 years down the road, you're gonna take huge offense to the difference between losing to LaSalle first round or losing to 'Cuse 2nd round? Yeah okay, sure.

How many ships has Hoiball gotten you? Cause Bruceketball is 1 for 1 so far.

If you could somehow quantify talent+laziness, then I would definitely say that Drew's teams have the most in the conference year in and year out

I do totally place some blame on coaching staff for the utilization of Sams, especially for the plays with him in near end of season. But, after Bill's 1 month of extra practice or whatever, Waters looked significantly better than he has all year. No fumbles, no INTs, but Sams still turns it over once.

Who should be the QB for next year going forward, who knows, but after watching this bowl game I will go out and say I think Waters is the better option.

vs Baylor and Okie State, we had our top WR out, and we heavily shift our possessions at QB toward Sams. While, when we have our healthy WR, especially later in the season, we shift our possessions at QB more to Waters. If this doesn't say something, at least in regard to what our coaches think about the QB position, not sure what else would.

Also, for me to say that Waters probably throws a better ball than Sams and to think that our wideouts would better prefer Waters throwing them the ball, isn't beyond delusional.

One thought haven't heard on here yet is the possibility that maybe our receivers, like TLBL, enjoy Waters at QB more than Sams. Would explain the obvious dropped pass with Sams in at QB, probably reaching here anyway.
