Dennis Johnson is really the only one you have to worry about. He's fast and pretty hard to tackle but fumble prone. Wingo is a great receiver but is a soft runner...and green will get 2 yards every time. Our FB is a great lead blocker though

sounds like we will assrape arky.

Our play calling is like a better Texas A&M with better players.  We may not be able to slow you down, but don't be surprised to see Razorback wide receivers running free, wide open in your secondary.

All of 4 points better.

we had a lot of defensive injuries in that game fwiw

Not so fast my friend. Let's not forget that Willy Robinson is gone. That could bring a change to our philosophy in time for the bowl game (one can only hope.)

Hopefully we put Jericho Nelson right behind Bequette and tell him that his only job is to demolish anyone carrying the ball. Don't go for strips, don't over pursue, don't miss tackles. Just stop the run.

I'm not a Willy(ie) fan, but if you think a first GAME DCoordinator will come in and fix our run fit problems after...

1. Having never worked a single down with a group that wasn't in the secondary.
2. Having only worked a few weeks with our defensive unit.
3. Having NEVER called defenses (he didn't call them at OSU, Jim Heacock did)

You are out ya mind, boy.  Don't be holding your breath for our defense to come out like gangbusters, because it won't happen.

At his PC today he said he called plays the last 7 years at OSU...that made me wonder because i didnt think he did either

It will be interesting to see if our new DC has any impact on the game. Teams ran all over us so our pass defense ranking could be a little inflated. We NEVER learn to look back for the ball in the air! Its just weird because our defense was 2nd in the SEC last year in sacks and TFL and we had everyone back and we got worse...we had some DL injuries but still. You guys should be able to move the ball pretty easily barring a turnover

We had houston nutt for 10 years

the producer that talked about us on-air is now a poster here and loves us.

:lynchmob:

I figured he was just another punk that steve dave beat up and is all butt hurt about it now.

I think he was smart enough (K-State grad) to see his ass beating coming and decided to change his ways before it was too late.

I thought you guys where hogs or something like that.  Don't take this the wrong way but that is not a picture of a hog.  Sad product of one of the worst education systems in the US.

_FAN, has Arkansas seen a running back with the speed/power combo they will face in Hubert?

YES.

We faced Trent Richardson.  He went 17 for 128.

We also saw Christine Michael (a&m) 32 for 230.

We give up 174 yards a game on the ground.

You guys will run it down our throats and do so effectively.

We've also faced Michael Dyer, Vick Ballard, Brandon Bolden, and LSU's stable of RBs lol...SEC has some good RBs to make up for some bad pass offenses

True but i was just counting RBs

Knile might not be suiting up---but, we've done pretty well without him.

Imagine the havoc he could have created if he hadn't been injured pre-season! :sdeek:

Who?

You know, the SEC's leading rusher last year

Randy Shannon has been hired as our new DC

Not sure why you would want the Packers' secondary coach, their secondary sucks balls.  Guess if you like trading some picks for giving up huge passing numbers.

Fans were excited because they lead the NFL (or are close to it) in INTs and we NEVER look back for the ball   I think its only like his 2nd season coaching them

But he has worked with BP before and is young and black so he HAS to be a good recruiter right?

warm up the pigaggie excuses, motherfuckers.

We're actually probably better without him lol...heard we could be going after stoops if nebraska doesnt get him

Is Stoops just going to try to run Robinson's defensive scheme or is he going to try to teach the team a completely new defense over the next 4 weeks?

Im guessing we'd just have an interim DC like our DE coach steve caldwell or something...but rumors are we could go after the packers secondary coach for DC as well, hes worked with petrino.

I wonder if any other team has ever lost their OC, DC, and STC in a span of 3 days lol

I thought it was weird how Menzie from alabama was named a 1st team all-american but wasnt even an honorable mention for all-SEC  :dunno:

Mocat you really are as dumb as you look.  Read your wikipedia quote again dumbass.  It's pretty clear that it says University of CENTRAL Arkansas, which is in Conway, not Fayetville and they are not even remotely associated with each other.

They're being sarcastic lol

I didn't realize any football team in Kansas had a national brand image.  Chicat your a complet moron, AR left the SWC, causing it to fold.  The rest of the teams had to scramble to find a home and most of them ended up in the Big 8, 10, 12, 10 or however many are left.  Two more teams are leaving this year for the superior conference. Another fine point to mention to you pussycats is that the only two losses this year for AR were LSU and Alabama, number 1 and number 2.   One more thing is that the Cotton Bowl loves to have AR, because the fan base will pump lots o cash into DFW that weekend.  How many running backs does k state have playing in the NFL at the moment.  Oh yeah, another of your moron fans posted a picture of UCA's field, which by the way would beat k state this year also.   Just like the rest of kansas you people on this forum do nothing but blow.  I'm sorry the k state fans have to let their no class asses shine, because of insecurity and jealousy.  See you guys in Arlington at Jerry World where Hogs are undefeated.  WPS!!!!!!!!!

We have 5 RBs in the NFL, you have 3.
http://www.kstatesports.com/feature/football-nextlevel.html

Our NFL players are so much better than yours, its funny you would even bring it up...It is actually comical how bad you guys are at putting players into the NFL...

Ark Best NFL Players:
Darren Mcfadden - injury prone and being outperformed by a guy from Loserville
Felix Jones - injury prone & not starting
Ryan Mallet - that tall guy on the sidelines
...and a bunch of lineman no one has heard of

K-State:
Josh Freeman - best young QB in the league
Jordy Nelson - did you watch the super bowl?
Darren Sproles - "best off-season acquisition in years"
Terrance Newman - multiple pro bowls
Brandon Banks - 2nd in NFL return yardage
... and many others

he's in no way being "out performed" lol

Ill play...other than those

George Wilson- Bills FS
Jason Peters- Pro bowl LT
Peyton Hillis- Madden cover
Shawn Andrews
Chris Houston
I think DJamer williams will be a good TE

We suffered through a decade of nutt lol...we will have more after this year

You do realize you haven't ever won the SEC, let alone even compete in the Championship game? 11 points per appearance?

We were a muffed punt away from possibly winning in 2006  :frown:

« on: December 05, 2011, 10:20:10 AM »
wow. was just going through film. can't believe we have to play a team whose defensive tackles can't even properly execute a swim move. we're talking no pressure on the qb here, folks. to boot, their defense has no idea what the word "contain" means. i almost feel bad for them.

Our starting DT's are both sophomores...they have been disappointing this year but are young. Jake Bequette at DE is a good pass rusher against average OL though...yeah we are bad against mobile QBs

At least it didn't take us 4 overtimes to beat Texas A&M...

And we didn't even play them at HOME, like your team did.

Obviously aTm assumed that they would easily beat you, and overlooked your team.  We are basically every Texas team's "super bowl," and get their best shot.  I'm sure you understand.

I am starting to come around on the idea of playing Arkansas, because I like easy wins.  However, I'd still rather be playing a respectable school like Michigan or Wisconsin.

Now you just sound like an LSU fan
