Last night was reminded me why baseball exists. The last 2 innings made me feel as much as a close football game can make me feel, and I haven't been following the Booze Cats much at all.

Let me tell you something Steve, I (as someone who has now watched one full KSU baseball game all season) am locked in for these Bat Cats! The bandwagon is riding smooth all the way to Omaha (or at least the Super Regional).

Let’s ride with these boys (non of who I know that name of, but that will change after tonight!)!

Saw (and smelled) this at Pioneer Farm and Ranch in Abilene, KS no more that two months ago.

Smells good, not really like Busch light, which is probably good.

Stop. Our trophy case can only handle so much.

Ironclaw was really good. Too many emo takes ITT. Efron is just an absolute delight and mix in some Jeremy Allen White and it gets my motor running!

Great review, wacky!

It's amazing how out of touch many of you have become to do anything to defend this current presidency. The clean sweep is coming in November. Prepare your anuses.

Does the “a-team” coach have a daughter on the team? If that is the case it may not be my first posit, but rather that he just wants his daughter’s team as stacked and strong as possible and he will not be around next year.

Rusty, it sounds like your “A-team” coach is looking to build his “brand” for the future.

“We sent players, x x and x to collegiate water polo! So you can rest assured when you pay us the big bucks to train your daughter, she may very well find similar results!”

The biggest problem young umps routinely have when working youth games is not widening the strike zone. They go in there with a tight zone and create walk-festivals, which aren’t any fun for anyone. Give them letters to knees and a couple of inches on the outside corner (not the inside). Force the kids to swing the bat.

I fell into this trap pumping youth games in Manhattan about 20 years ago.

Kyrie Irving’s game is maybe the most aesthetically pleasing I’ve ever seen.

Saw a 14u kid hit a 350 foot dinger today using a green goblin corked with racquet balls today.

Our 15u (w/ 4 14-years olds) hung tough with a legit AAA (is that what they call it in 16u???) but lost 4-0. They made every play. They’re call the KS Curve and their uniforms were awesome and looked just like Clemson. Then that team proceeded to pants some poor saps from Bartlesville to the tune of 15-0. They scored 8 runs and had the bases loaded before the other team recorded the first out of the game. Was 11-0 after one.

Then we played the Bartlesville and also beat them 13-0 after 3.5.

Imagine driving all that way to get clobbered 0-28 in two games then stay in a hotel and wake up to play tomorrow morning at 8:30. Awesome!

They had a lady assistant coach that was almost unbearable (imo to her own team). At one point when we were up 8-0 their left fielder was playing about 10 feet from the line. I’ve never seen a gap that big in all my life and no one even noticed. After a couple of batters I was like “you guys might want to shift left field a tad.”

Guys, the Pacers play Game 3 at home on Saturday…I’m already gonna get to Indy Saturday…

I’m really considering leaving earlier so I get there and can go!

Go for it EMAWman.

It’s time to start always getting premium seats and making sure you’re on camera all the time in your EMAW gear

Meh, I was a little underwhelmed.

spracs, as a friend, I would strongly recommend you add “Loljk” or something like that before this turns into your own personal mahommes/lawl thread

I don't recall who started that thread, but it is far from certain whether he'll live up to his lofty expectations. Could go either way. I wasn't impressed w/ him last year. Granted, he was just a freshman.

How much would Avery have to weigh before people can stop worrying about him breaking? Quinn Ewers is listed at 195 and I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything similar.  Maybe it's because our current QB is like 250.

might also be because Ewers has 180 pass attempts and 33 rushes and Johnson has 13 pass attempts and 23 rushes? I mean, I think you know that

It's silly to think he will be used at those ratios for any length of time as the primary QB.   They aren't going to run him like the second coming of CK7.

it's also silly to think his ratio will be in the ballpark of Ewers this season
It will probably be like 3 to 1 pass to run.  Jason Bean has similar ratio and is 195.  McClain similar ratio at UCF is 196.   I doubt Avery plays more than 10 lbs heavier than he is right now while he is here.

How many years do you think he'll be a Cat? Let's say he leaves after his jr season. I think he gets to about 215.

D. Scott saying AJ could be 210 by football season.

Going to be so wild to see how we remember Jokic in 10 years. Steph had worldwide influence by making kids start shooting from insane distances, Jokic very well could start an onslaught of chubby kids trying out basketball.

He had a sequence of assists in three straight possessions last night that I won’t soon forget.

1. A lob (maybe a bounce pass) on a break for a slam.
2. A behind the back dish to an open three-point shooter who drained it.
3. Tipped himself the def board and in one motion threw a full court pass to the rim for another slam/layin.

Minn did work tonight tho

It's pretty cool that Dean is a starter and playing decently well.

I didn't know that he had to play with one of the Morris twins, tho.

When did he return? He’s been out injured for awhile.
