So as some of you know, my parents are prepers. They both follow the news pretty religiously, so they know how messed up the current world is. Really though, I understand where they are coming from and I myself have started collecting things that would come in handy if something like the depression were to ever happen again. My parents just have the means so they are able to prep at a more efficient level.
They have numerous guns and more ammo than they could probably use in a lifetime.
They have needles/alcohol/stitches/ anything that could be used for wounds.
They have enough food to last 5 years
They keep and melt down old coins for the real bronze in them so that they can be traded for the precious metal when the dollar collapses
They keep all broken jewelry so that it can be traded when the dollar collapses
They also bought more liquor than they could ever drink so that they can trade that too
Is this really that weird though? I have started stocking up on food and I have kept all of my broken jewelry just in case. I think that it's more unwise to not be a preper.
