Glad you guys decided to watch some big boy football tonight. Hopefully now you'll have some in Manhattan going forward.

Unconventional in the same way David Beaty was an unconventional hire. At least ku didn't get swindled on the contract

Point me to where Beatty had anything close to the kind of success Klieman has had? Any level. He had to have won a string of state titles in HS or something right?

I'll hang up and listen.

I mean you have to pay him this much. It would be unseemly to pay a coach so far less than his peers and likey make it even harder to get quality assistants.

I'd be willing to bet he asked for a guarantee to pay his assistants top dollar. That's been the formula for success at NDSU, no reason for him or ADGT to change it because these message boards are packed with small timey people.

This will no doubt be an upgrade in recruiting. Idk the last time one of you guys actually talked to an 18 year old, but the eff if they want to listen to a 79 year old. He could have died tomorrow because he ate the wrong cereal, at least they know their coach will be alive at the next practice.

Great zeal!

Just putting it in lingo that small timey people understand, that's all. Small timey people are scared of boisterous words and discussions.

I would know, I've lived around Fargoans most of my life.

The decision makers at K-State are so damn small timey.

Kstate is small timey, but the boards think they are Texas or OU...maybe even Alabama.

NDSU mutants, does he for real have any connections to awesome potential coordinators or savage recruiters? like guys who are too good to join him at NDSU but would relish this opportunity?

He actually is really well connected and really well respected in the coaching community. I'm not sure if this does anything for you, but him and Bo Pelini are really good friends. I wouldn't be surprised to hear him get a call about being a DC for him. His Nebraska money ran out this year and I believe his current HC contract is done as well.

i dont know if you are a gargantuan idiot, but that would be awesome

It's been fun to watch him coach against NDSU the last few years haha.

But yeah, there is a bromance between the two of them. When they played here this year, I think Pelini spent the week before and the postgame gushing about CK and how much he respects him. It wasn't quite that gushy from CK, but he definitely sang Pelini's praises.

I'll put it this way, Pelini made his kid come check out NDSU before he made his college decision and he coaches for a conference rival...
