OSU’s Justin Blackmon arrested on DUI complaint in Texas
A Carrollton, Texas, police spokesman has confirmed that Oklahoma State’s Justin Blackmon was arrested on a DUI complaint at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The sophomore wide receiver, who does not turn 21 until January, and an unidentified friend were returning to Oklahoma after having attended the Dallas Cowboys’ game Monday night in Arlington.
Police radar registered the speed of Blackmon’s Chevy Silverado pickup as having been 92 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-35 North.
“There were field sobriety tests given on the side of the road,” said Dustin Bartram, the public information officer for the Carrollton Police Department. “The officer determined that there was a detectable amount (of alcohol) on (Blackmon).”
Bartram said Blackmon posted a $375 bond and was released from jail at 8:06 a.m. The $375 should stand as Blackmon’s fine on the underage DUI infraction, Bartram said.
OSU coach Mike Gundy is expected to comment on the situation following the Cowboys’ Tuesday afternoon practice session. Gundy is expected to announce whether Blackmon is suspended for Saturday’s 11 a.m. Big 12 game at Kansas State.
The national leader in receiving yards per game, scoring and touchdown catches, Blackmon was in Arlington to watch former OSU teammate Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys face the New York Giants. Bryant scored three touchdowns in a 41-35 Dallas defeat.
A sophomore from Ardmore, Blackmon has seven-game totals of 62 catches for 1,112 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is on pace to break several single-season school records.

Our defense is terrible. Corners give 10 yards cushion and no pass rush. Kick off coverage is ranked next to last.
On the other hand our offense is explosive, but Blackmon is a huge loss. Kendall Hunter is a stud as is Daniel Thomas. Will be in Manhattan for the game Saturday. Good luck.
