They're not terrible.  I wouldn't personally wear them but I have a couple of buddies who would probably rock them and look good while doing so.

Got these (for running) about 3 weeks ago.  Now they're like half price.  :chainsaw:    Anyway, first Nike running shoes I have owned in several years.  I usually wear Adidas or New Balance running shoes because I have been unhappy with the durability of Nike's stuff lately.  These are super comfy and possibly the lightest shoes I have ever owned.  Haven't used the Nike+ feature much but it is pretty neat, I guess.

Puma Romas are one of the few casual shoes versatile enough to wear with both pants and shorts.  When worn with shorts it is important to either wear no-show socks or go sockless.

tried for the no sock flood pants look with these, but i think my size is a little too big (looks amazing  (http://streetetiquette.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/MG_35251.jpg)when pulled off well).  also these are the most uncomfortable shoes ever.

Leave me alone and let me find some shoes!

Tradehome in the mall is the worst about that.  I don't really like foot locker either.  FinishLine and Hibbett are pretty good though.

That isn't a bad thing when it comes to shoe salesmen/ladies.  They are usually know a lot about the various shoes, and let's be honest, shoes are a pretty big investment when done right.  The salespeople are pretty helpful especially when it comes to running shoes, bball shoes, etc.  The same goes for dress shoes.  It isn't like when you used to walk into The Buckle and some dumb bitch is following the customers around telling them that everything looks great on them to make a sale.

I use "No thanks, I'm just browsing."  It's important not to look at them when you say it.  Focus on the shoes, not the person.  Afterwards, they'll usually leave you alone until it's sizing time.  "browsing" is open for interpretation. To me, it means "I'm probably broke and have nothing better to do." Anyways, message sent.

Needing some new running kicks. Adidas have always felt the best but haven't ventured off the brand much in the last few years so new balance asics mizuno and others are foreign to me.  Not a big time runner by any means and probably not doing a whole lot more than 1-4 miles around the hood at a time.

A lot of controversy with running shoes these days.  Apparently, even with all of our advanced shoe technology, runners have a higher injury rate than ever before.  Some people suggest that the high injury rate is because most new shoes provide too much support and encourage people to run with awful form because their shoes are too forgiving and they can't tell that they're doing it wrong.

Barefoot running has been around for a while, some barefoot lady even won the olympics in the 60s I think, but now it's a movement.  As a result, there are a lot of minimalist running shoes that have come out recently(Nike Free for example) and people seem to like them OK.

A word of warning: if you switch to a minimalist shoe or barefoot, you can't just keep running at your current rate or you will hurt yourself, guaranteed.  You would need to transition with short runs and build up gradually.

i guess that wasn't really a recommendation, just something to consider.  also, here's the book that added fuel to the fire of the barefoot running movement:  http://www.amazon.com/Born-Run-Hidden-Superathletes-Greatest/dp/0307279189/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365050325&sr=8-1&keywords=born+to+run

those both look like someone a geriatric would wear with a sweatsuit. so if you're a geriatric who wants to wear these with a sweatsuit, I think you can't go wrong.

ya those air max LTD's are dumb.  if you're needing to go retro in the air max range, stick w/ the 90's, the 95's, or the '97's.
nike combined the 95, the 97, and the 360 in the 24/7, you might be able to still find a pair of those around somewhere on the internet.

Brand: Perry Ellis
Style: Kenneth

They're rubber sole, probably some cheapish suede. I think they were originally around 75-80 bucks, got them for $20 a pop. Apparently the people in my area don't share my sense of style. I figured they'd be good casual/ semi-nice shoes comfortable enough to walk around in.

Anyone know how to clean these things once they get a bit dirty? The gray ones have some nastiness on them that I want to get off. Some of it is dye from a new pair of jeans.

Probably too cas vs. biz but they'd solve the comfort problem.

Cole Haan has clearance shoes for an additional 40% off right now....including some of the men's LunarGrand...so you can get them for $95 including tax and shipping...which is a really good price....So if you were thinking about getting some you should do it.

in today's context, these are heavy shoes but that's because they're a re-release from 2002 and it's not like you're going to be skying to the rim so it doesn't really matter

Converse Chuck II's by Nike.   They don't look as good as regular chucks but they're rough ridin' comfortable.

You can get some cheap now.  Use code EARLY25 to get an extra 25% off the discounted price.

I already have these in gray and blue respectively.

I've never done that exclusively to get points, but if I'm buying stuff for gifts or when I don't know what size I need or which ones I'll like, I'll happily order every possibility online knowing I'll return what I don't need and pocket a shitload of extra URs.

also don't forget you can fold down the heel and wear them like slippers

Also I wore them to the office today, jelz?

extremely. they make some with leather that I think will pass biz casual inspection, but they are much ugly.

but I could really wear them here because most people take off their shoes and wear house slippers in the office.

they were genetically engineered by god for the gym. they are like wearing a physical weight room slogan on your feet

only thing they are bad at is running which is horrible anyway and should be avoided

The lace up regular wool ones are very comfortable too.  Back when we could travel, I loved wearing them on long travel days.  I use the loafers more as slippers, but I might get a color that is good for spring and use them more out and about when the weather gets good.

Hello, suppose you are searching for good runner models or gym shoes. In that case, I can recommend you check the grailify sneaker releases (https://www.grailify.com/en/) article with the different sports footwear models presented on the platform with wide delivery options. Also, if you are struggling with choosing the right model, the online customer help chat can help you choose the most comfortable shoes for your purposes according to your budget. My personal shoe recommendation for you is to look for the air-Jordan-1 model that is very comfortable to wear in multiple situations.

I've been rocking Nike Cortez (snyder style white and black) as my everyday pair since 2018. Usually get a new pair just in time for cats fball season for ~$70. Welp, went to order some this year and no dice. None available anywhere except for some sneakerhead websites in weird colors and for like $200.

Some say it's supply chain issues. Others say Nike pulled them back for a big splash and big money re-release in conjunction with their 50th anniversary or something.

Chaps my ass, I'll tell you that. Had to go back to the similarly colored Puma Romas this time around.

weird. I've never gotten a pair, but I shop on the Nike app quite a bit and always see them. Just checked and they just have the "special" ones. The Cortez have been there forever and I've always thought about grabbing a pair, but usually get something else. Weird that they just disappeared. I know they were popular and sold well.

I wish they would put some of the KSU stuff out there. The purple Jordans Coach Tang wears are amaze, but prob a bit too much for my old ass, but i'd like to see some of the other stuff they wear out on the site.

Sonics. But relevant to you:

Quote
Collaborative colorways of the Nike Cortez appeared frequently throughout the past year, with the silhouette joining forces with not only sacai but also Union LA. Inline styles, by comparison, were few and far between, and were largely overlooked in favor of their more limited counterparts. This newly-revealed, “Gorge Green” offering, however, gives us hope that things will change for the better in 2023.

ww we might need to cross post in signs of getting old.  My Redwing steel toes have started irritating my feet on the weekend farm outing.  I got a pair of these about a month ago and really like them so far.
