You’re thinking of this place all wrong, as if they have the money back in a safe. The money’s not in Blackrock/Vanguard. Well, your money’s in Joe’s house. That’s right next to yours. And then the Kennedy house and Mrs. Macklin’s house and a hundred others. You’re lending them the money to build and then they’re going to pay it back to you as best they can.

Yes, owning the best companies in the world is bad business for the biggest investment firms. Should be owning the penny stocks at the highest level.

#blogkaren assassinates the obvious (again)

#blueanon political and thought leaders are getting angrier at Blockrock and Vanguard because they say they're not doing enough ESG'ing . . . while being very pleased that the same, plus JPMC and Goldman are lining up to feed off the UkgroGrift with the help of an American oligarch family.

The parents of #blueanon used to get  :curse: :curse: :curse: about Halliburton.

It's just fascinating.

It's like if I own Vanguard index funds, am I the bad guy?  Or who is pulling MY strings?

There is a huge tendency during times like this for people to say MY PERSONAL wealth/earnings/credit/lifestyle/retirement is strong but OVERALL the country is struggling. A lot of data points, surveys, etc. on that. I'd guess you are in the best financial position of your life Kim Carnes. Just like me and most of the people posting on here. The fact is that overall the American consumer is in the best place they've been since data has been tracked. It'll fade some eventually (at least the rate of growth) but right now people are spending and household wealth is at an all time high. Doesn't mean everyone. Obviously I feel like crap for the Gen Z new household wanting to buy their first house.

There will be victory laps in a few weeks when we dip. Then moonshot into the summer.
