What's everyone growing this year?
I have 4 raised beds and this year I have two cherry tomato plants, two jalapeño (one giant), one small red pepper, two mini cucumber, one watermelon, and one strawberry. I do about the same every year and I normally get about 4 total tomatoes, a bunch of jalapeños, and 7 cucumbers. The squirrels and bunnies pick me apart. I moved my beds this year and plan to put more effort in. I am kicking bunny ass this year.

Let me know if there are any must have gardening gadgets I can get my mom for Mother’s Day.

What are the pro-tips for planting mint and not letting it take over everything?
-
Plant it in a large pot. Just trim it as needed when you want to consume it and it won’t get out of hand.

No idea, I just plant, water, and let it ride.

What's the easiest vegetable to grow in this region? i also have dogs so I'd have to get it off the ground. I wouldn't mind sharing pics on facebook of my crops like a good swks person should do

I'd realistically like to DECREASE my intake of stuff, not increase.

We have lots of bunnies and squirrels too and are trying a garden at our new house for the first time. I'm hoping the raised bed helps with the bunnies at least but I don't have a whole lot of other ideas. My neighbor has bees so I'm going to be cautious about any pesticide.
The wife has planted radishes, peas, watermelon, onions, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, herbs and a bunch of other crap in little trays. I can't imagine we have room for all of it as it transitions outside.

Our neighbors with elite plant skills just gave one of my lil Croppings some baby strawberry plants to put in her garden plot. We'll see if she can keep them alive through the summer.

what's your recipe here? I have a million cucumbers and the last time I tried this, the recipe was too vinegary.

I just kind of eyeball it, half vinegar half water. 2 cloves of garlic sliced thin along with a couple tablespoons of salt then throw in some red pepper flakes and dill.
It also helps to cut the cucumbers super thin.

Currently fermenting giant jalapeños for some hot sauce. They are scorching hot this year so it will be interesting to see how it comes out.
