I think they both helped each other, end of the day Adrian needed to be better at times (though I am so happy he got that OU game) and Howard definitely benefitted from him.

Ideally, the coaches would have recognized how much better AM had made Howard before the season started, but I really can't blame them for starting Martinez. I have never seen a player improve as much as Will Howard.

I definitely cannot think of a player in any sport in college that I have observed improve as much in 1 year as Will Howard.

Was kind of funny during the game how Herbie and Fowler were thrown off guard by how dynamic the Klein offense is. It was still dynamic w/ 9AM, but in more of a classic Snyder vibe. But with Will, Deuce, Leek and the TE play, we’re like a video game offense.
Kudos to Will. Just a phenomenal transformation and couldn’t be happier for a kid. He was every bit as good as the Heisman candidates this season once he got in there. He’s preseason first-team all big 12 next year or it’s a criminal robbery.

Their relationship was symbiotic. 9am had the experience and enough skill to get us through at Oklahoma. I mean we all know now that Oklahoma is dogshit, but we didn't at the time. Even as much as Howitzer balled out this year, I still have a hard time believing we win that one without 9AM. Hard for me to picture Will leading us into that frenzied stade on a Saturday night and pulling out a win. Also yeah, as someone said, if we didn't have Fish Filletdrian Martinez start the first half of the season, we're playing Rubely by now. Will Howard, though. Man. Good work, my dude. Amazing. When I was mad at him last year I used to angrily call him Li'l Coward...but that kid proved me wrong and mushed my stupid face so hard this year, so he has officially grown out of that nickname. He's now Big Coward. Thank you for this Pepper, Will. You are forever a K-State legend.
