Maybe we just don't have a third string because Rubley is REDSHIRTING (https://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=36353.msg1459341#msg1459341)

Can still play 4 games

Thought he wasn't practicing because he was injured?

That was before the Stanford game, not now.
-
The only thing we can conclude from that quote is that Rubely is actually co-first string. Definitely expect to see him on the field next game.
-
Smells like a misdirection tactic to me, I expect rubley to start after the 'pack have wasted a week preparing for William Howard

How do you even prepare for Howard? Create a really badass turnover chain?
-
do people really think just because someone is redshirting they can't be on the depth chart? what happens if howard and lewis both get hurt, we just gonna play without a qb because rubley is redshirting, that's not how this works.
-
I suspect Max Marsh would get the nod over Rubley
-
Rubley wouldn’t start for my kids 8U flag team. And that’s no knock on Rubley, because Brayden is a stud. But the knock on Rubley is that he’s still third string behind Logan.
-
brayden is a stud no doubt about it, but rumor has it they're saving him for 9u
-
I would straight up, work Brayden's ass!
-
Guys, just pay attention to the number Kurt Warner's son is wearing when he trots out onto Wagner Field tomorrow.....

Well if you recall from the trip down memory lane I linked earlier, we played several games in 2015 with a guy who was not even on the QB depth chart.

I would run a drill where I put the linebackers in motion and then throw bullets right at their chest when they aren't expecting them. Everyone who manages to take the ball all the way to the house gets an orange creamsicle after practice, on me.

85?
I believe the implication is that Kade could switch to a QB numbered jersey to fill in as 3rd string. I have no idea if he has any QB ability...it looks like he played WR in high school.
-
Does Kade have any grocery store experience?

I did not see this in his bio, but it's in his blood for sure.

Everyone knows coming from good shelf stocking stock is a sure fire sign of elite grocering potential, even if you are a bagger instead of a stocker.

Do the purple visors with name tags go in the K-StateO thread?

If they don’t, Kurts shirt definitely does.
-
From stocking shelves at Hy-Vee to watching your son play football from the top of the student section? Ole Kurt Warner has seen it all.

He's really promoting his son, EJ Warner, but he isn't getting a lot of scholarship offers. Who knows could make a great backup QB for the CATS.

Hard pass

He was fine, but that may have been his last ever game action for K-State.

Well no crap. He's the third string QB for a reason. I rather him let the pass go instead of eating it because he's scared to throw.
-
I don’t care what happens until @MIR responds. He has
The juice!

he will always have 4/4

I think the interception is something that can be addressed through coaching. Coach Klein just needs to explain to him that the best throws are the ones that someone catches, BUT, it's important that that someone be on your team.
-
I haven't rewatched so I could be wrong, but the INT came on a play that seemed like a designed roll out right with crossing routes going left. It was a bad pass/decision but that play call on his first pass seemed wild.
-
Unless he just wants to be a depth piece and graduate from KSU, I can’t see Rubley sticking around next year.

I think the play call was fine, but the receiver (Brooks I think) didn't get separation at all and Rubley doesn't have the arm strength to fit that ball in the impossibly small window that was there.
-
Agree with ChiComCat, it was a bad decision on Rubley's part, as Brooks was covered.
