We are totes gonna make it one year (probably a 9/10 seed) and I will love every second of it.

Imagine going down to LSU for the 7-10 game, party rocking your face off in nawleans for a day or two before the game then watching your fighting Kansas State wild wildcats claw their way to a 24-34 moral victory in death valley.

This shows that the Big XII would have averaged 1.8 appearances per year in the past decade, meaning the second place team is usually getting in.

However, for six of those years, we had no conference championship game handing out an extra loss to our runner-up.  Under this 12-team proposal, I think the conference might be better served without the championship game.

also lmao at Nebraska
Sure, but also at Texas.

The conference would be better served without a championship game NOW. The only reason we have it is because our leadership is just that short sighted.

Yes, it's the dumbest thing ever. 10-game round robin champ is good enough.

Getting to the playoff is one thing, being in the hunt late into the season is as important for the "big time" feel of a season imo.

If we're going to 12 I'd prefer the 10 conference champs + two at large, but that's just me.

And the same narrative existed then. It's only gotten better ranking wise since then.

Smashing all the nuclear buttons includes actively working against OU getting in the playoff imo.
