Can anyone explain what Oscar's offensive concept is? Other than jack up 3s by a team of shitty shooters? There's no motion or ball movement.
Why the eff does a team that shoots as bad as the Cats put up 31 threes in a game? I'm at a loss to understand why the team doesn't try to post up Bradford. Maybe he could draw fouls, not that we're going to the line when all we do is jack from downtown.

There's plenty of motion and ball movement and the shooters aren't shitty. Our eFG is better than average and our 3PT percentage is slightly below average. The problem offensively is we turn the ball over far too often and don't force enough turnovers. Shooting 31 three pointers is basketball today. We are 50th in the country in the percentage of our field goal attempts that are 3s.
Please stop listening to Stan Weber and his rudimentary understanding of basketball, his understanding of the game stunted at Junior Varsity basketball in the 70's.

Clearly the 3 ball desperation late in the shot clock is the best method for this team.
In fact, taking this offensively stunted team into the teeth of the defense in a down tempo fashion is probably the best long term solution.

I didn't want to kick a losery school right after a loss but good lord yes. That's the dumbest name in the history of stupid college team names and there is a team named the "Jayhawks" just down the highway.

I don't know what average is, but the team is shooting 31.5 percent from three. That is shitty, full stop, and a team shooting that badly behind the line should never jack up 31 in a ball game. Pack and McGurl are shooting 36 plus percent, making them the definition of average from 3.
If this is "modern basketball," then Jack Hartman was a visionary. Of course, he actually recruited guys who could shoot lights out (look up Mike Evans' career shooting percentage). The fact is good coaches coach to their talent and recruit to their system. Oscar does neither.
