Obviously Drew is a pretty good recruiter in his own right but also Jerome Tang has been there from the start and I think is pretty great

Their staff has been there for 18 seasons and they're an hour and 20 minutes from Dallas and Austin. Also Scott Drew has proven that he's a hell of a coach. I really like Baylor. I do think they cheated when he was getting the program going back in the late aughts. Who can forget Mark Morefield threatening to have Hanner Perea deported if he didn't sign with Baylor?

Having a great coach (especially a players coach like Drew) continuity in staff, a fertile recruiting ground in your back yard, and bending the rules a bit (as any coach should) is a recipe that’s hard to beat.
