Had some fun times! Absolutely do not want to watch us play anymore though. Even for non-Covid reasons. Thank you seniors. Hope you come back for next year but if not good luck with just whatever and thank you!

i cant believe they got all the games in!
wonder how i would look at the season if two of the games had been cancelled
-
There were a couple highlights, so I guess it was ok
I like a lot of our recruits and young players, but not a fan of our OC ...😕
-
I am super happy I got to talk cats football with my buds, I had a really good time when we won games (Okalahoma! TCU! Duststorm aggie!) and a really bad time when we lost (Oklahoma State) and a REALLY bad time when we got completely humiliated (Cavein Aggie, mold aggie, Texas) and a REALLY REALLY bad time when I realized that this team is bad and the staff is super average at coaching and well below average at recruiting. Nonetheless, we aren't KU and we are still better looking/smelling than any of the Big 12.
Let's hope we don't accept a lame duck bowl and the mole gets to work on not getting outclassed by anyone good.
-
Tailspin at the end made my eyes vomit but remember when we beat OU? Wow. That was exhilarating.

The OU game was bonkers. I spent half of the second half on one knee.

yeah, this season had a big fat asterisk on it no matter what and that one was irl good and mostly 1s against 1s.

the OC had a way better performance this year than the DC. the DC had a senior laden group and regressed into possibly the worst defense in school history with a lot of seniors.
the OC had new, young players everywhere and progressed into a slightly a below average offense even with a true frosh QB who was the worst D1 QB in the country
the OC is not the problem. He did okay with what he had.
-
Remember after that game when we were convinced we were in the driver's seat for a Pepper?
-
It was fun to seem to have a good defense for a lot of the season. Bas running for their lives and so many sacks!
-
The peak win for me was tcu because I didn't think there was any way in the world we'd win that, not before or during. When Will Howard tripped on the painted line, I thought we'd lose. The tcu win, for me, was the most unlikely of the year.
-
thankful they had some positive things happen but i'm tired of the ass kickings. Do not want to watch another game because i'm pretty confident that we would get run again. something is wrong on defense and its not getting fixed until they have different players
-
we'd get matched against a similar quality team and therefore would likely get a competitive game

Why did KSU play Fresno in a non-bowl game at the end of the 2007 season?

That was a regular season noncon. Just a quirky schedule. We played at UNLV at the end of 94 too.

I know. What was the quirk? A 9/11 I'm forgetting?

We also played North Texas at the end of 09 or 10 for some random reason.

Just where the mutual open date was, it was before the Big 12 championship. I listened that on a phone app while driving a Uhaul across the country to Massachusetts.

That Fresno game was a similar defensive effort as yesterday. I recall one series FSU had 4th and 9 in their own territory and they went for it bc our defense was just absolutely horrid and unsurprisingly that play went for like 25 yds.

2006 was the first year of 12 game schedules. I suspect we bumped Fresno to the end to add an additional crap team in September, but still keep on off week intact.

I feel like we went up 14-0 in that Fresno game and then just got demolished in short order after that

Hubert is probably gone I think
-
Hubert is probably gone I think
probably and couldn't blame him.. but could see him sticking around one more year
-
Interesting season to say the least. A ton of ups and downs. As much as it was an emotional rollercoaster for the fans, it was probably double that for the players.
As talented as Hubert is, I think he would benefit long term from sticking it out another year. He seemed to make a ton of mental errors (penalties and over-pursuing)...but maybe those are no big deal to scouts.

It rarely works like that, sticking it out for another year to improve stock. He's been out of high school for four years already and he'll be 23 years old when next football season starts. He's probably at the peak, if not beyond it, for his skill development as a college football player.
I don't think those things you pointed out will be a big deal, if anything his inability to help with run defense will be his biggest negative, but that isn't something he's been asked to do, especially this season. That isn't something that will be fixed by staying here another year. It's all about his measurables at this point.

Him and Briley shouldn’t even suit up for the bowl game, they should be balls to the wall trying to gear up for Pro Day and a long shot combine invite. Thank you for your service gentleman go get paid.
-
Agreed. Unless we are playing a game against Nebraska. It's definitely worth putting a professional career at risk to avoid the potential embarrassment of losing to them.
-
i think nebraska would even beat us right now, i would hate that humiliation
-
I'd rather lose to a Nebraska team that no one cares about than a navy team no one cares about
-
nebraska would be my dream bowl game my goodness
-
i would be fine with a bowl game but we need to like, irl market it as a JV game or "come watch the freshman team" or some crap like that

Even just being a passing down guy can be pretty valuable to an NFL team.

Honestly our best-case scenario is accepting a bowl game, framing it publicly as a LOL game, getting in the 19 extra practices, and then right before the game the other team cancels because of Covid or injuries or whatever. We get the extra practices, yet we don't have to watch this team.

Only thing I would change is somehow the players get the gift package from the bowl prior to cancellation.

this is the correct answer

I'm just glad we got to participate in another round of "Stud's N Dud's" which is quick becoming one of my favorite things about CFB season.

True. And if our sadthletic department somehow K-State0s this up by hanging a banner about making a bowl game this season, all is lost and it wasn't worth it.
-
was the longest and shortest season of all time.. can't believe we lost to arkansas state at home and beat OU in norman, wild ride.

Beers at BSFS??
Here is my card and keep the tab going sir!

i heard Hubert made the decision to go pro before this season even started. He is definitely good but might be overrated by local fans. He is very consistent at disappearing for long stretches of games. and also being very undisciplined. I can see him getting drafted but not real high

kashi1965 throwing out truth bombs. Hubert needs more coaching otherwise he will have a short NFL career. I very much want to see Hubert succeed at the next level and he looked raw all season.
-
Hubert lead the league in sacks and is going to be 1st team all big 12 for the second year in a row. He has accomplished all he can at this level it’s time to gtfo and play 3-5 years in the NFL and make 4-5 million dollars.
-
I thought he said after the last game he'd be announcing his decision in a couple weeks.
-
I thought he said after the last game he'd be announcing his decision in a couple weeks.
he hasn't publicly announced yet but its been assumed by those around him that he decided to go pro a long time ago. for some reason, kids just like to keep their decisions private for as long as possible. i think he will definitely get drafted for the sacks alone. but i think the other things will keep him from going as high as he might wish. I watched him a lot this year and he seemed intent on selling out on the pass rush on virtually every play. At times he was a liability. But a NFL coach might think thats easily fixable. i think he spent this season trying to get sacks at all costs to try to enhance his NFL prospects. It worked out OK for him. I think he could have helped the team more than he did by not chasing his individual sack numbers the whole season. But i do hope he kicks ass in the NFL.
-
I think our fans are the best at dragging players leaving early for the NFL draft
-
If he leaves it means he sucks because the NFL sucks.

Why the eff wouldn't they or anyone else? Buncha kashis in here.

I want to see Deuce do more cool stuff. He always seems to do cool stuff when he gets the ball and I enjoy watching it

If Hubert declares, he will get drafted. And he’ll develop a heck of a lot faster in the NFL than he would at KSU. The only reason for staying would be because he wants to put in another year of academics (lol Covid) or he thinks he could do well enough as a super senior to sneak into the first round.

This is the right call even if I wanted to see Deuce do more cool stuff

This adds a half-game to Fh's lead over RP.

sucks. i wanted more cat football and more practices. but the 'vid gonna 'vid.

Can we give KU our bowl slot so they can 100/10 this year?
-
Technically there are already eligible.
-
Can we give KU our bowl slot so they can 100/10 this year?
Would they sacrifice their no bowl streak to achieve 100 in 10?
That’s a pretty tough call.
