Given the two options, we suck, but there's reasons to be optimistic. The freshmen look like they can play. Nijel Pack is the best shooter we've had in a long time. After three games he looks like he may even be a better shooter than Rod was as a freshman.

So I just looked at Rod's first 3 games and he scored 11, 11, & 20, then he must have gotten Frank'd because he scored a total of 19 points the next 10 games, and 86 for the rest of the season. Nijel should have 86 before the end of the month.

That Nigel Pack can shoot the rock, I'll tell you that much. Bradford looks like a legit 5. Hope he can learn to shoot the three. The sophomores seem uninspiring imo.

EZ is growing on me. He might be super overmatched in big 12 play but I could see him developing into a gip type player.
Agree Bradford already looks like the most promising big we’ve had in forever.
Montavious and Antonio look like the exact same players which is super disappointing because both certainly look the part and have the athleticism

MIR what is your take on Selton? I had high hopes for him.
Don't have one, he seems firmly entrenched behind Dajuan, he's barely playing. He's the 4th in a four guard rotation. I think ideally if he could bring the ball up he'd play more, because I think they'd rather have Nijel off the ball when Mike McBuckets is off the floor, but it seems like Selton nor any of the other guards can bring it up right now.
I've also heard that the coaches like Kasubke a lot so I wonder if Selton's minutes are going to be eaten up if Luke ever gets over his foot issue.
I don't think Selton or Rudy have done anything distinguishing at all.

I think EZ is better than Gip, he was good enough later in his career to make people forget how rough it was for him early on, but that's the case with most bigs.
I agree with you on the sophomore forwards. Man I hope Linguard is going to be good enough to snatch a lot of minutes at the 4 otherwise I'd love to see us go 4 guards most of the time. Murphy and A. Gordon don't do anything well, and people need to stop comparing Gordon to Jamar, he could always defend. It's possible that young Antonio is better offensively than young Jamar, but he isn't nearly close to the defender & rebounder that Jamar was.

even frosh samuels was twice the player that gordon is this season on either side of the ball.

I just got around to looking up some stats, and holy smokes do we turn the ball over a lot. Like I know we have a lot of guys, but it's pretty shocking. Also we are complete garbage on the defensive end. We suck pretty bad.
Pack is pretty fun though.
