Today I was a contestant on Stump the Chumps during Petros show. I "Stumped" the chumps with my Question about the first live CFB broadcast on ESPN (1982 Independence Bowl between Kstate and Wisconsin).

Their return Question was "what was the first CFB game to be nationally broadcast"? They claimed that it was TCU vs KU in 1951 but I can find no reference this was correct.

The end result is that I do not get to eat the delicious Jazzzzzz that I rightfully deserve.

was going to check if KU even played TCU in 1951 and I learned that they played 21 straight seasons starting in 1944. Wild!

Michigancat! Yes! A long time ago, a young SB offered the offspring of one of those Independence Bowl Qat Players $100 (a majority of my summer lawnmowing money)  if she could track down a tape of that game for me. Never did. Now I can still enjoy it! For free! Patience pays off.
