You can build a solid squad other ways, but to build the best you absolutely have to have Beaz on there.
Beaz and Denis plus whoever is probably best way to go, but Beaz, Pullen + any $3 and 2 $1/2 $2 and a $1 is tough also
-
I feel like this thing mind mumped us all to not choose Bill Walker.
I think you can say that about any of the $4 options. I don't know if the person putting it together did it on purpose but they really made this hard.
The $1 list is so bad compared to the $2 list that you feel like you can't take any of the $1 guys which makes the $4 virtually untouchable. I mean the best two guys on that $1 are Clent (who with equal coaching would completely skull shazbot! Will) and White Tiger.
-
This would be fun to do for KU. Of course you would be working with $50,000 donor funds and one get out of jail free card. You would have to remember which players only got clipped for a DUI or weed and then didn't go home and kick/rape/punch a girl to get off on a second offense. :dunno: (ftp://:dunno:)
-
Looking at this made me think of something random, but... 6 of our top 20 guys over the last 12 years are left handed. That has to be an insanely high percentage and the highest in the country, right?
Lefty U?
-
Beasley - duh
Foster - not too much dropoff from Pullen/Brown, saves $1
DJamer - underrated, comparable to CK, Gip

beasley should cost all $15 dollars
-
beasley should cost all $15 dollars
at least $10
-
If Beasley cost $11 I would still pick him

DJamer - underrated, comparable to CK

Similar body type and skill set, 11 ppg and 6 rpg for each

DJamer - underrated, comparable to CK
Similar body type and skill set, 11 ppg and 6 rpg for each
i'm not sure if that's true or not, but ck didn't get the number of shots he could have playing along side pullen and denis. ck was a much better shooter and better off the dribble, more of a 4 and i think of DJamer as more of a 5, although he could hit a set 15 footer
-
i'm not ready to say DJamer=CK but DJamer at $2 is incredible value.
-
DJamer is Kroger :ck:

The stats are correct. And CK took 1-2 more shots per game than DJamer. Comparable minutes played.

I take it back. DJamer is bad at assists.

Thanks for this, White Tiger coming in as the top bargain
-
The hard part is making sure you'll like the whole team.
Nah, not that many that are unlikable, and like I said, don't pick a $1 player and you're generally good. On that note Edwards being a $3 is the most hilarious thing ever. I think he and Mak are the only people I haven't seen picked any of the places where this appears. I don't know if anyone is taking Edwards as a free spot.
-
Yeah, the Edwards price was lol. But with Beaz should be $11 and everyone else wouldn't matter.
-
Combination that yields the highest point total.
That's what I was wondering, I didn't want to figure it out though
Umm, yeah, this sucks. Subset sum problem. I'm giving up.

Here's a stab at the dumb formula team. Ranking 1-25, the formula total for
1,2,16,17,21 = 4.1083
1,2,11,21,22 = 4.0803
1,6,11,16,21 = 3.9692
1. Beasley
2. Walker
16. Clemente
17. Williams
21. Mawien
-
This is a lot of fun.
Aside from the obvious few at the top, Hot Rod and Wes are 2 of my favorite K-State players of all time, and I'm struggling to find a spot for either of them in any scenario.
-
Wade $5
Pullen $5
Stewart $1
Shane $2
Carti $2
We're running 4 out 1 in or 5-out.
Mike $5
Bill $4
Jamar $3
Shane $2
Clent $1

I should have been clear, I was using Chum's values.

Using chum's stats, I did some rescaling of the $ amounts to more accurately reflect value:

Now the top ten teams are:

And as Chingon ruins this thread...
If we use the values in the tweet + the stats Chum provided:

flawed way of doing it IMO because certain players were on worse teams which inflates their stats.

Look at all of the underrateds! Kent on all top 9 teams!!!
-
Beasley-Gip-JO-Walker-Nino
Yeah, this is a doozy of a lineup.
-
Ok, Beasley-CK-White Tiger-Maween-Walker is my favorite.
Their zone D would be amazingly entertaining.
-
Beasley-Gip-JO-Walker-Nino
Yeah, this is a doozy of a lineup.
I love a few dudes on this team but this team might be more dog crap than the teams that Chingon's initial mocatted formula yielded.
