Now that we're rivals in AAA baseball it's time to get this thread started. I'm late to the game here but that ball team name is the stupidest crap I've ever even seen in a world.
-
I didn't realize that Omaha and Wichita were peers. Interesting
-
They're both garbage compared to the OKC Dodgers/Redhawks/89ers/whatever the hell they are in 2020.
-
It's no Beef vs. Wild rivalry.

I didn’t either until checking this years Storm Chaser schedule. Apparently the Marlins AAA team is now in Wichita.

as someone who was born and raised in wichita, i can say that a perfectly accurate description of the city of wichita is "AAA version of Marlins Man" and it is absolutely messing with my mind rn

well you're welcome

Marlins were in the playoffs this year and the royals weren't. The wind surge didn't even need to play this year to get the worst to first team into the playoffs with farm talent.

Many comments in here are now irrelevant.
Wichita is back to being a peer of Tulsa.
-
Omaha can go back to wondering why they continually get dunked on by little tiny baby Des Moines.

I don't know a single distinguishing feature of Tulsa, Little Rock, Wichita, Des Moines, or Omaha. Basically the same town as far as I can tell. You can probably throw Springfield in there too.

I believe Tulsa had the most millionaires in the world for quite a bit of the 1900's ("Oil capital of the World"). Oil money has built some incredible buildings/architecture all over that town. If you haven't, you should read up on Black Wall Street as well.
-
I've never been to Springfield but I always assumed it was Missouri's Topeka
-
That is solely based on interactions with people from Springfield

does topeka have the original bass pro shops or a gateway to branson? I don't think so
wait maybe Springfield should be removed from my list for having more cool crap than the others

Sometimes I forget you're from rural southern Kansas, then I get jarring reminders.

These people are in the business journal more than I'd think for losing executives.

That's the world of minor league sports, my man, trust me on that one, especially in a pandemic and especially when minor league baseball are having the issues they are having. I don't know why Miller left, my guess is that it's money related, but the people under the now former president who have left definitely left because of money. Almost all minor league sports positions get paid sells commissions from season tickets, group tickets, and corporate sales, pretty much none of which are happening right now.

Well that was a fun 0 years in Triple A for Wichita
