Yes, this is good and all, but the next step would be for the RCPD to start looking the other way when they realize they've pulled over a football player.

This is actually a really good observation, Sean has been the "Eraser" since the Prince days.
Title: Re: MCMW
Post by: ben ji on March 03, 2020, 10:38:38 AM
Which reminds me of a great story Dlineguy told me years ago. During the Prince Era they were given Sean’s cell phone number and told that if they ever got into any trouble to call him ASAP. Dlineguy would give the number to his buddies who would prank call Sean pretending they were players who got in various compromising positions.

The rcpd caught me peeing on a tree by the delta sigma phi house and they just shined their brights on me and I finished and walked home. T's&p's to Mr wheeler for this obvious overreaction.

Good enough, was doing dece before he got hurt considering he's a TE. Shouldn't matter, not in this case. The jackbooted storm troopers need to chill.

I meant good enough for me to have to come back and get these charges dropped.

You already know what family I've had to deal with this before for.

People also legitimately did not care about drunk driving at all back then.

How old are you? This isn't the least bit true. Back then MADD was as visible as any nonprofit that existed. Do you even know what MADD is? Stevie Wonder made an anti drunk driving pop song that made the billboard charts.

I don't know exactly when May got his dui but I was a senior in high school and a freshman in college when he was a quarterback and drunk driving was definitely a huge deal. LHC Bill Snyder 1.0 just had a real long leash with his star players then. Percell Gaskins, Nyle Wiren, and Brian Kavanagh beat some dudes up and got charged with animal cruelty for throwing a cinder block at a dog and they just had to run stairs.

that was a team building activity and an example of what made those defenses great

Throw in a qb fighting side-by-side with two defensive stars and I don’t see anything other than a prime example of true unity between units. No wonder we were so good then.

It was the summer between his junior and senior year.  You are absolutely correct about drunk driving being a big deal back then.  Like I said, we were just a lot more MCMW back then

Jaelon Travis was kicked off the team a couple days ago - there was an actual press release for it so that got people thinking it was something bad that hadn't come out. now rumors on KSO that it's real real bad but no specifics. he was dressed for saturday's game so it's a very recent development. anyone know?

Nothing on the Mercury's crime report that names him or would match his description

yes, must have been bad if he was dressed Saturday and kicked off team a couple days later. . . also odd to do a press release; must be trying to get out in front of it before the story drops

Title: Re: MCMW
Post by: MakeItRain on November 23, 2021, 05:59:39 PM
Exactly. Could have been a drug test. Could have been an argument with a coach. Could have been he missed the Sunday film session and it was a final strike. Could also be something bad but I'm not going to default to that because of some nebulous KSO rumor. Assuming the worst of college athletes is modus operandi for most sports fans and KSO are gladly willing to traffic in that bullshit.

To clarify, it’s not clear from the reporting as to if the player was the person shot or if the player was the person with the concussion.

BTW, if it were a current football player who got injured, we have very few 24 year olds.
Skylar Thompson
Timmy Horne
Boom Massie
Nick Lenners
Cody Fletcher
Reed Godinet

That's it. BTW Imathorbhebhe is 25 years old, oldest on the team.
