Calling all hang around NDSU fans. Nice win beating the only other FCS champs in the last decade. I enjoyed the game, immensely! :Woot:

I wish our FBS was set up differently, we should also have a 20 division champ play off. Then the ten conference champs and 6 top ranked teams that are not division champs have the new CFP. It would be a FB fan's dream. There could be a very good chance one of your favorite teams would be in it. I do believe it would draw a larger TV rating than the majority of our poorly watched and attended bowl games. Just think teams like the undefeated '17 & '18 AAC champs UCF would get a chance at the NC. The first games should be the P5 vs G5 and match the remaining top ranked teams at CFP bowls. That would leave 8 teams to play at bigger bowls. Then 4 teams and of course the NC. BTY, this is similar to the NFL playoffs and Super bowl. Also, these bowls would be well attended, as opposed to the boring empty ones that should just go away.

Sounds great but meaningless bowl games are fun as crap, too. How would that work? Just gone forever, or happens concurrently?

The CFP would include 15 bowls. Not one of them would have the 6/6 teams playing in them. Those are the ones that need to go away. Would make the regular season more meaningful.

There could be other bowls, just ones that have teams with a minimum of 7 wins. Fact is there are to many bowls.

I have little to add to this conversation besides:
1. There should be playoff system with more than 4 teams.
2. There are too many bowl games.

I think the bowl locations should be selected as we already have six. We only need to select two more bowls to have the first set of games. The other bowls could very well be the new year's six. I'm sure that there is another suitable bowl to complete the necessary 15 bowls to complete the CFP.
