could be that both the unsuccessful and the successful drives against us are short? Not giving up 14 play TD drives while giving up plays like the CeeDee Lamb TD could cause this

That and the fact we do well at TOs, which would cut the points per drive.

Explosive plays leading to quick drives and we force a lot of 3 and outs or drives of fewer than 5 plays to force punts. So scoring per drive has a better look than per play. Our per play number is still pretty good though, just below a few teams that play against more plays per drive.

i see where steve dave is coming from, wondering how long we can keep up the dominant play of the last 2 weeks. on the other hand, doesn't texas run a 3 man front? i feel like with our o-line we could pound the ball all day on that, and play action to Malik and Jordy Jr.

Not worried at all. This game is going to play out like the game back in '99. Okay maybe it will play out differently but I smile whenever I think of that edition of the CTR.

no outcome of this game would surprise me, i guess that's what happens when you throw the records out in a big rivalry game. but to me, we are trending up and they are trending down, and it's more fun to picture what you want to happen, and i'm picturing the cats rolling to purple 44-23.

Their secondary was decimated and we're not exactly the greatest show on turf, slinging it around everywhere. We're going to lose.

id give us a chance if we had AJ Parker still and Gilbert and Brown at full strength. Current outlook is lose by 10-14 points.

Texas was lucky to hang with OU. That being said, if they stuff our run we are going to have a lot of 3 and outs. Our defense will get tired and Texas will walk away with a 14+ point victory.
