Large QB John Holcombe announcing on Twitter that he’s entering the transfer portal. Weird. Maybe he doesn’t like alternate uniforms.
-
Is he the stud QB from Houston, or is that another backup?
-
If this is true then I am calling for Clitz Hymen’s resignation IMMEDIATELY. I had super high hopes for Holcombe. Think he could’ve been really good if properly developed. Also, he gave us one of the best Qatt bloops in a long time this year against Bowling Green. Actually it was a two-parter:
1) He enters the game in the first half. I remark to my friend who was watching with me, “This guy’s supposed to be some kind of freak athlete.” Holcombe promptly fumbles the very routine snap.
B) Later in the game after Buick Skylark is done for the day, Holcombe uncorks one of the best long bomb overthrows I’ve seen in ages. I mean this thing pretty much ended up in the lockerroom. Someone find me a vid. He Uncle Rico’d that crap.

He might be my IRL favorite cat OAT
-
When I read it I said noooooo in my head, but he doesn't seem like the style of QB that Klieman has been successful with. It also doesn't help that he's dropped two snaps already.
They better put Baby Sisco in 400 pounds of bubble wrap. This season might be looking real 2015ish quickly. Sammy Wheeler playing QB.
-
Nick Ast waiting in the wings. Stud qb coming from PA next year. Pipeline is good.

Maybe Herron is a giant stud. Also they had Holcombe catching some passes in pregame last week.

Also I loved saying Holcombemania :-( Also his dunk :-(

they had to use 2 timeouts last week when he was in the game for like a handful of plays, humbled another snap. he was a snyder recruit, so like mir said, probably not a fit for klieman's offense. Herron was also committed before Snyder left, so hope he's not next, i don't see him playing qb, especially since he was already practicing at wr in camp. Hopefully he can play wr this year and stuff weber back in his locker.

Herron hasn’t taken a QB snap since spring.

I’m guessing he tweets a do-over once he realizes that he has lost this year of eligibility anyway.

He won't and why would he stay if he doesn't want to be here? He probably withdrew from his classes yesterday or today.
-
It does him no good to waste time playing a potential position he wants nothing to do with (TE, WR, Etc.), if his true passion is to play QB somewhere.
-
Nothing to see here...
TC, FP, etc, etc.
:buh-bye:

bad loss for mashed potato face

Well, I guess I assumed football players like playing football. And I guess all that stuff about loving his teammates and rooting for the team is kindof bs.
Also, I might not want the last impression I leave on the field to be a cluster f of a fumble and two wasted timeouts in the few plays I was in.
All indications are that he is a moron.
-
Steffy, you sure are still a giant dumbshit. lmao

you really can gauge a person by what they say about a 19 year old when that player leaves their favorite sports team

Why does this board like when people leave KSU?
I've got no problem with a kid deciding to transfer. Transferring four games in to a season is bad form. Transferring four games into a season when you are not saving a year of eligibility is really bad form. Posting about how you have "nothing but love" for the teammates you just quit on is just bs.
His transfer puts this team---and the teammates he professes to care about--in a serious bind.
-
Steffy, I support your at-will employment rights.
-
I’m not sure if you watched the last few games, but I’m not sure the bind is all that serious tbh.
-
And people act like he’s just throwing a fit and storming off. I think it’s far more likely that after Saturday the coaches said he’d never start as a KSU QB but they were willing to try him at other positions. Dude probably just wants to be a QB.

He's the back-up QB! He is one play away from being the starter on a P5 team this year. The decision doesn't make sense, from his perspective or K-State's perspective. Which is why people are assuming he is a throwing a fit and storming off.

Well, this is a valid point. But presumably he is at least slightly better than our other options at QB.
-
He was never thee concise back up FWIW.

I guess it depends on how you define "blessed."
-
steffy's feelings are hurt
-
Wonder if they would do a Last Chance U at HCC.
-
Can he go have a practice year at Hutch and then come back to the Cats and start in a couple years and win a Heisman? What the rules on that?
Also, Steffy, shut up.

can anybody wacky translate this for me? i'm usually pretty good at these but not sure here. thee should be the, i get that. no big deal there. i'm guessing concise should be consensus and wacky was trying to say that it wasn't really agreed upon that holcombe was even the actual back up. anybody else want to take a stab?

You're either part of the team or you're an Azzhat who needs to be out the door.
Obviously he's an Azzhat.

sorry that was in reference to RD's translation. I am sad to see Holcombe go, i do very much object to that because it hurts my feelings.

Nobody likes him transferring steffy, he's definitely a gE type dude. Adults should be able to differentiate what's good for me as opposed to what's good for that person. He's a third string QB that his coaches supposedly wanted to turn into a backup tight end. He isn't hurting his team, and I assure you that his friends on the team want him to be happy.

Well said.

Agree to disagree, I guess.
He is hurting the team. And himself. He needs an adult to explain both of those points to him.

You are a broken record, Steffy08.
Just stop posting. You sound like a boomer that is yelling at a cloud. Might be time to look in the mirror and reflect because what you just posted is an old, decrepit and dumbass view of how a student athlete thinks, and the opposite of what he needs.

What's funny about this is your old ass acting like he needs some authority figure to help him see things your way, but you're the obstinate old goat making uninformed, half cocked assumptions. You and your ilk who think like you, look rough ridin' stupid. Why can't you people mind your own business?

Career advice from steffy....
Just stay in that job you dislike. Don't ever aspire for something you want. Focus on the team.

I wonder if dumbass steffy has the same hatred for players that transfer to the cats. I know I personally think Chris harper needed to talk with an adult about letting Oregon down.

Arthur Brown let down Miami, they haven't been the same since. Sick.

That's nothing compared to what Bryce did to Tennessee.
