If he beats OSU I will make a profound and intimate apology that cites some personal anecdotes while also incorporating some scripture (King James) that will both profess my profound recalcitration and give all of the readers an uplifting message they can carry forward in their daily lives.

Why? What does stone age burbles have to do with KSU Football?

If I know ‘stone like I think I do, there’s no way he’d blast himself for being an over critical ass hat to mustang for no reason. Just. No. Way!
-
no 16 rules garbage, no handwritten notes to opponents, no life lesson bullshit. (if you think about it was pretty similar to ron prince's binder and leadership stuff, just in snyder's way)
klieman was put on this earth to win football games and nothing else
-

He is going to absolutely obliterate Mike Gundy's OSU squad.

This....Klieman's teams have always been road warriors and he has infused major attitude in this team......the fighting Gundies can't score if they are watching us run right though his young D-Line and burning clock

I rewatched some NDSU offense videos. Klieman's offense is disgusting boring. Like most effort possible for 3.5 yards at a time. I'm convinced other teams just get bored/tired of playing against it.
-
You question any of Gene's decisions and he'll come for you.

I will never apologize for insulting ESPN and their lame streaming service.

that's only 7-5. i'm 9-3 (at least) or bust at this point.
-
I feel like if we only win 3/5 vs Balyor, TCU, Tech, KU, and WVU, Gene would owe me an apology.
-
Yeah with the exception of maybe Baylor the rest of those programs are as bad as they’ve ever been.
-
you'd have to say ku isn't as bad as they've ever been since they just won there first road game in 319 tries
-
you'd have to say ku isn't as bad as they've ever been since they just won there first road game in 319 tries
They still have some miles to go before I'm going to take them seriously.

I need a better record than last year.
-

Some of KU’s biggest wins have come during their worst years. They have a chance at home vs a pretty bad WVU to prove that they actually are better.
-
the interaction w/ felix rex on twitter is enough for me to be all in on the mustang with full apologies from mocat

Here's the Big 12.
Commissioner Bob Bowlsby – Zac Brown Band
Matt Rhule, Baylor – Dave Matthews Band
Matt Campbell, Iowa State – Van Halen
Les Miles, Kansas – 21 Savage
Chris Klieman, Kansas State – Def Leppard
Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma – Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State – Prince
Gary Patterson, TCU – Eric Church
Tom Herman, Texas – Dave Matthews Band
Matt Wells, Texas Tech – Kenny Chesney
Neal Brown, West Virginia – Brad Paisley
-
Def Leppard is such an amazing answer.
-
I thought it was interesting that Gundy and Holgorson both chose Prince. They must have partied like it's 1999 every day when they worked together.
-
Neal Brown picks a west virginia native
-

He chose The Notorious B.I.G.
-
I'm shocked Gundy didn't pick Billy Ray Cyrus!
-
And just like that Mike Aresco (new favorite confy commish), Kirk Ferentz and Seth LittreLL fly up my charts.
-
21 savage is a great pick and he says he doesn’t like the lyrics but come on les, rockstar is a great song

Wild that only Campbell, Gundy, Klieman and Brown (for now) remain. College coaching is a very fickle profession.
-
imagine how much more successful Gundy will be without Bedlam. it's hard to believe, but he is 3-15 vs OU
-
Instead of a gatorade bath, someone on the sideline should pour a whole cooler full of powdered sugar over Chris when he wins the Big 12.

I didn’t have a problem with the klieman hire but he owes the fanbase an apology for starting 9am over howard

Like, we would be in the cfp had he done that

Here to be the bigger man and say Klieman, Klein, Howard…this entire team all mushed my face big time this year. Super fun season.

can you imagine where the program would be if we hired this guy????

It's all extremely cringe and hokey as hell but our grape fanbase eats it up, so go for it

No way this team wins the Big 12 if they weren't out that pounding that danged stone, day in and day out. Nothing cringe about it, but I can see how someone who's never felt the pleasure of pounding a stone might think that.
-
I think Seth was hurt by staff departures for better jobs.
He was hurt by that crap offense too. It's exceedingly hard to win with that offense, I'd guess even more so on that level. You really need to have an exceptional defense to make that work. Is 2000 OU the only team to win the national championship running that crap offense?

I'd give it to Fritz.
Do they vote before or after we beat Bama's ass?
-

Wut. 6-6 coaches shouldn't be coach of the year, particularly those who finished losing 6 of 7 games.
Dykes should have swept all COY awards
Being serious, how is Dykes not on that list
Someone in the comments said first year coaches aren't eligible
That's really silly and arbitrary
-
That's a pretty perfect list imo
-
If you don’t even win your conference, you shouldn’t be considered for coach of the year

I'd give it to Fritz.
Do they vote before or after we beat Bama's ass?
Totally Fritz imo. 2-10 to 11-2.

I love the way he answered the loser question. Tulane is in a main bowl.

Looking back now, winning that game would have done nothing for us after the grand scheme of things. It’s kinda whatever. I’m sure it motivated them more.
-
Looking back now, winning that game would have done nothing for us after the grand scheme of things. It’s kinda whatever. I’m sure it motivated them more.
Nah, it we had won that game we would of had a whole week ESPN talking about who should get the 4th playoff spot between Katz/OSU/Bama and would of had something else to add to our "Kstate getting screwed" list of grievances when the CFP took OSU.
-
If we would have beaten Tulane, the talk would be about how the playoff committee could take TCU over us.

Correct, and in general losing to Texas in addition makes it all mute anyways (much like Bama's two losses).
Do I want to have beaten Tulane? Absolutely, if anything especially at the time it seemed like a bad loss, now at the end of the season with Tulane in the NYE6 bowl it's our second worst loss, so kinda meh.
End of the day, we had 2, not 1, losses too many to be considered seriously for the playoff, in two years all this is mute with the essential autobid into the playoff.

Hmm... they should have given all 24 awards to Gene.

Sounds like a Who's Who in Athletic Directing situation.
Well...if there *is* a legitimate and elite award for the best AD, they should give it to Gene and maybe consider renaming it after him and engraving his likeness on it.
-
The heading should read, "farm boy from N Dacota becomes the top AD at Tator Farm U". :gocho:
-
For the last 2 weeks on 810 Soren has been talking about how CK/Tang need to get paid this offseason but they also need to make sure Gene is paid as well. He help push snyder/oscar out when their performance slipped then absolutely nailed 2 off the radar hires for their replacements that are both great hires and seem to get along with him 100%.
Not to mention he continued raising enough funds to finish off our master facilities plan that started in like 2012ish.

Hey, sonoftrim, maybe try reading one of those links and it will explain, like the sports these people manage, they are broken up by division.
I’m aware. The image of simultaneous headlines naming many different people the athletic director (singular) of the year is objectively lol.
Lol to just us is the one reflecting that gene and mold aggie ad tied for the single ad of the year award.
It’s like instead of a headline about there having been a 30 under 30 list, or even that john doe was on the 30 under 30 list, that john doe won the award for most ____ of whatever that list was measuring.

Just the weirdest dude, ever.

If he does fire Gene, he won't be able to disclose why because of FERPA.

Ya. This what I'm being told as well. Carl out there pushing a personal vendetta against Gene for firing his friends.
-
No way he has that kind of power. People like Carl aren't going to stop donating because they don't personally like a guy who by any objective measure is doing a good job. They're too addicted to being able to control other stupid stuff.
-
lmao I had no idea Carl Ice was tight with oscar Weber but surely Carl Ice isn't stupid enough to think Gene was wrong in letting oscar go. Although based on the half-baked info that's been flowing out this week, there seems to be a high number of dudes who are huge dumbasses relative to their position

yes and you don't need to be competent or good at anything to become rich (common misconception)

Linton and Gene are at eachother's throats, and Linton threatened to fire Gene yesterday or today based on the rumors. Ice is backing Linton; Ice was on the BoR when they hired Linton.

omg this is so stupid

This doesn't make sense either. Why would Gene take the fall for dismissing Tomlin if he was upset with Linton over it?
Although I'm starting to think there might not be any explanation that makes sense.
-

And there you have it. The BOR, or at least some on the BOR, have a different perspective of what is “good for K-State than 99.9% of K-Staters.

Linton has lost his mind. I expect a resignation on his part in the next few days.

Carl made his money. But, plenty out there just got normal returns on their vast inheritance
-
Now that it’s known that Carl is anti-Gene, it’s clear why Linton would do what he did. My guess is that Linton would willingly crawl through a mile of crap to eat Carl’s entire ass and balls and drink his ejaculate, so to speak.
-
No offense to Tang, but the protest is just getting warmed up.

Rich old people can be incredibly petty
yes and you don't need to be competent or good at anything to become rich (common misconception)
I mean you would have to be competent at making money
Not necessarily
Carl made his money. But, plenty out there just got normal returns on their vast inheritance
I imagine in your line of work you come across many well compensated people who are not good at their jobs. But I guess Kim's argument would be that they are competent at landing and keeping their jobs regardless of how second or competent they are at actually doing the job, which I suppose is fair.

I was thinking more the dynastic wealth that enjoy donating in exchange for power.

Makes sense, and I even think a lot of people who don't inherit wealth are often just lucky

Completely agree.

No way he has that kind of power. People like Carl aren't going to stop donating because they don't personally like a guy who by any objective measure is doing a good job. They're too addicted to being able to control other stupid stuff.
No offense, but I think that’s exactly what happens all the time. Kinda the point of holding money over their heads via scheduled ongoing donations.
You're missing my point a little bit, which is that Carl cannot credibly threaten to pull his donations for something like that. Any competent administrator would realize he's not willing to lose his influence over the program when it's just a stupid personal vendetta at issue rather than a principled stance.

Ah. I still think Linton blinks before Carl.

Jesus, this is turning into quite the confusing pickle.

Now that it’s known that Carl is anti-Gene, it’s clear why Linton would do what he did. My guess is that Linton would willingly crawl through a mile of crap to eat Carl’s entire ass and balls and drink his ejaculate, so to speak.
NO, DON'T GO THERE PETE!!! That description made me want to throw up and then eat it like a dog.

Is The Mustang the greatest AD in the history of our Kansas State University?
Some are saying yes.
-
Very many people have said that to me.
-
Probably at least the entire state.
