For those of you that have seen it what did you think?
For those of you that haven't it is a 7/7 so see it.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
Also feel free to tell in this thread any spoilers and all of what you thought.
I wish hulk had more of a showing but the Grey Hulk was a pleasant surprise.
I love you all 3000

I read the plot on wikipedia.
Seeing a lot of people take issue w/the time travel logistics while ignoring the logistics of people or aliens or whatever having magic powers.
-
It was ok.
Infinity war was way way better.
-
Biggest problem is that the best characters got dusted so lots of lame ass cap, hawkeye, and widow. I don't care at all about any of those losers. Strange, all of gotg, Spiderman, black panther.... All in it for like 15 minutes at the end.
Big thorbowski and asguardians of the galaxy are v fun though.
-
I loved it. The only time travel logistic that was questionable was Cap at the very end. The rest followed the rules laid out earlier in the movie. Plan to see it again this weekend.
-
So we're done with these now, right?

Yes, they are going to stop after releasing a movie that has a good shot at becoming the highest grossing film ever.

Whew, finally. Thanks hemmy!

Not really. They killed Thanos from a time period before the stones were activated, which sort of blew it all up to me.

But you kill thanos in both timelines he is dead for sure.

Once 2014 Thanos learns of the plan it creates a separate timeline branch but the original still goes through. I think that was the rule they outlined.
-
Like there is an alternate universe now where Thanos disappears in 14 and then is never able to collect the stones and snap now. Or maybe it just always existed anyway #mindblown

going again in ICT tomorrow with the fam.

I’m almost always against time travel, but this is the closest instance where I’ve been ok with it in a movie. I could use a little more action before the final sequence so I give it 6/7 but overall a great movie for Marvel fans. Loved the twist at the beginning.
-
I didn't even attempt to think about the time travel stuff because of the effort that would be required. Just went along with it.
Loved Lebowski Thor very much. Lol at that big rock dude hanging at his house playing Fortnite. GOTG are my favorite. Just funny. So, I'm really hoping their next movie has lots of Thor. The Starlord/Thor stuff cracks me up. Lol knife fight.
Celebrity oscar/Hulk was funny. And then Rudd asking the kids if they wanted a pic with Antman. Lol.
Overall, really enjoyable!

I never in my life thought I'd ever see so much Nebula. And she's pretty damn boring!
-
Yeah more Strange less Nebula would’ve been nice. But we’ll get another Strange movie at least (IIRC).
-
Also: MEGA SPOILER ALERT——
The farewell to Iron Man was awesome and perfect to cap off the 11 or so years of movies. Captain America’s was a little weirder but OK (personally I’d rather he sacrificed himself during the fight just so we get one emotional moment before it’s over).

Good take. It was good but not great. Not as good as Infinity War. The character interactions were mostly good, sometimes funny. The action was a little boring and predictable. Captain Marvel is apparently Marvel’s version of Superman? Anyway, she’s basically invincible so her few appearances and then prolonged absences feel like a plot convenience. Because they are. This movie really didn’t need to be 3 hours long.
Ant Man and Thorbowski got some great screen time, but really I’d much rather watch a stand-alone Thor or Guardians movie than these massive mashups. Looking forward to Guardians 3: The Quest for Gamora.
-
Oh and one more thing: the previews. I know this is going to sound old and crotchety, but the movies this summer look like crap, and Di$ney snapping everything up does not bode well (I acknowledge the irony).
-
Yeah, Captain Marvel is too powerful. Creates an imbalance.
-
One kinda interesting question to me is what happened to Gamora at the end of the movie, and are the Guardians looking for new (past) Gamora or old (present) Gamora? I’m thinking the Hulk fingersnap vaporized all the people from that timeline, including her.
-
She appeared well after the Hulk snap.
-
I think Marvel will answer the Captain Marvel problem with an even stronger villain. Adam Warlock was teased in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and apparently is super powerful and could be good or bad.
-
She appeared well after the Hulk snap.
Oops it was actually Stark that used the infinity stones to kill all the Thanos baddies, right? Is she shown after that happens? Can’t remember.
-
Actually I saw it yesterday and can’t remember either. But I am personally offended you forgot how Stark died seeing as that’s like the biggest plot line by far in the movie.

95% sure she wasn't.
I enjoyed them bringing Faveau into the Iron Man funeral to kind of give him credit. I am glad they killed off some main people to make the epic two-parter feel like there were some stakes. I did not get Captain Marvel being grabbed by an unstoned Thanos. Seemed inconsistent with her power. Also, wouldn't she be a natural fit to just put the glove on then instead of playing keep away?
When Thorbowski was talking to Valkyrie at the end overlooking the ocean, I was hoping he would pour out Stark's ashes out of a coffee can.
-
Yeah it’s a little upsetting that they insisted on introducing Captain Marvel before Endgame since it’s obvious they didn’t know what to do with her imbalanced powers.
-
Maybe it would have been better if they just had Captain Marvel come in at the end and save the day rather than be like, "y'all, I'm just too busy" for the whole movie.

This and her horrible new haircut made me lol irl at the movie theater during the future debrief scene. "you might not see me for a while"
-
I sat in front of some talkers. Some example dialogue:
Dummy 1: "Who is that?"
Dummy 2: "Captain America."
*Ant Man's first scene*
Dummy 1: "Who is that?"
Dummy 2: "Huh I'm not sure!"
Then Dummy 1 read "The Vanished" out loud (it wasn't the first time she'd read text on screen out loud) and I had to say something. And to her credit, she stopped.
-
I can’t imagine liking that movie if you don’t know all the characters.
-
Captain Marvel in Endgame probably helps to illustrate this awesome observation by me.
DC characters are just way, way more rough ridin' powerful. I mean, Superman alone could probably whip all of the Avengers asses at the same time. The Avengers are pretty much just humans in special little suits. Superman is rough ridin' indestructible, has super strength, super speed, can rough ridin' fly, shoots lasers that can destroy anything out of his rough ridin' eyes. And then you have these other supernatural bad motherfuckers like Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. It's just no contest, really.

I mean, Batman is 100% just a human in a suit and he went toe to toe with Superman for a bit.
